Amazing spot at the lake of Ohrid

Vila Velestovo is truly amazing spot at the lake of Ohrid. Firstly, we were stunned by the views from the apartment, and apartment itself was spotless clean! This was the cleanest apartment of all my stays so far! Bed is super comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need if you want to cook yourself. Communication with Angie on the phone was smooth , she is super helpful , responsive and she would do everything she can to accommodate you even though she is not present at the Vila. Local staff is also very welcoming, friendly and entire surroundings are simply beautiful! Property has also wonderful sauna with panoramic window , an absolute must go for sauna lovers. This a place to come back!:) Tips: restaurant in village Velestovo, 10min walk from apartment - Domakjinska kukja is the best restaurant we have visited during our week travels in NM. best to have own car, but it is easy to get taxi to the village or to city of Ohrid for reasonable prices.

just small issue with not having warm water one day , but staff did everything they could to fix it as fast as they could , and it was fixed next morning. They putting lots of effort in keeping everything running and accommodating guests needs. Despite this tiny issue, Vila deserves 10/10 anyway! 🙏

Relax and great view

Best choice in Ohrid. Villa in on the hill where you can have a great view of the lake and city. Around nature and it's sounds. Tha apartment is modern and clean. You can use the gardens with barbecue and amacas. The staff was very friendly. 5 minuti drive to reach Ohrid. 2 tipical Macedonian restaurants are in the surrounding.

Great location, beautiful apartment and garden.

The apartments are not air conditioned. Although its high location, the vila is not a very good choice for the hot season. There are no washing machine and oven in the apartments. After we tried to find out about the air conditioning, the washing machine and the oven immediately upon entering the apartment, we received an unpleasant phone call from the owner of the property who slammed us with a pesky complaint, after watching us on the security cameras around the house (according to him, after receiving a complaint from one of the guests in the villa).The continued stay at the place was unpleasant, due to the feeling that we are under surveillance in addition to the lack of air conditioning and an oven.

A lot of insects, the insect net had holes. Stains on bed sheets (we were offered that cleaning lady gonna change them), but we were heading out and said there is no need to enter without us in the apartment. When we came it was changed, so she entered even we said not too. It was noisy, you could hear everything from above. Check out was at 11, but they rang on our apartment at 10 while we were waking up and still had time to leave. We saw the landlord passing our garden space (should be more private).

The place is well built,well run and the views are priceless. We found a perfect grill place,nice hiking paths starting from the backyard. There are two nice restaurants next door. We specially liked the attention to detail, and the floor heating which you will rearly find elsewhere. Strongly recommend!!

Spacious room (we had 2 bedrooms). Adequately equiped kitchen. Mosquito nets in all windiws and doors. Great view (if the trees are kept low.) Friendly and helpful host. Laundry facilities downstairs. Parking right in front. Barking dogs was not too bad.

Matrasses (new) very hard. Water pressure for shower low. Thin walls and floors makes the building noisy, so quietness depends on the guests. Smelly bathroom (despite the effort by the host). Also smell in our room when other guests are cooking.

Fantastic accommodation--If you are going to Ohrid, THIS is the place to stay!

We cooked our own breakfast in the apartment's full kitchen. The apartment is on a mountain overlooking Lake Ohrid and the town of Ohrid. Because we stayed in the apartment for two weeks, having a complete laundry room on site was a godsend. Our host, Ivana, went out of her way to help us complete the passenger locator form so that we could cross the Greek border.

It would have been nice to have a shower curtain in the bathroom. Everything else was perfect, and, by the way, the wi-fi worked great for the entire two weeks of our stay.

The view, the apartment, the sauna, was super good. The hiking nearby was also nice. The other people in the apartment were good as well. I also liked that it was out of the city!

The wifi was horrendous and both of us work online so it made it impossible to do anything. but if this was fixed I would 100% stay there. OH! You also need a car if you're staying here.

La terrasse est peut-être agréable, mais nous n'avons pas pu en profiter car la météo n'était pas très bonne.

L'appartement numéro 5 n'a presque pas de vue sur le lac. Il est très sombre, pas lumineux, car il n'y a qu'une petite porte-fenêtre pour éclairer l'entrée, la cuisine, le repas et le salon. C'est notre septième location dans les Balkans depuis plus d'un mois et c'est le seul appartement qui n'est pas équipé d'un lave-vaisselle. Les équipements ne sont pas de bonne qualité. L'immeuble est très mal insonorisé, on entend les voisins quand ils marchent et quand ils parlent. Cet appartement ne mérite pas les trois kilomètres de montagne qui sont nécessaires pour y arriver.

We hadden ons verheugd op een appartement met uitzicht op zee. Nou ja… uitzicht op zee krijg je hier alleen als je een bulldozer meeneemt om de rijen nieuwbouw-appartementen ervoor weg te schuiven. De badkamer? Laten we zeggen: het soort douche waar je na afloop nog een douche nodig hebt. Voor de rest was het appartement op zich oké, maar het vakantiegevoel was ver te zoeken. Het voelde eerder alsof we in een fabriek verbleven dan aan de kust. Beste verhuurders: een beetje eerlijkheid over wat je verhuurt zou geen kwaad kunnen. Mensen komen voor de zee, niet voor een bouwproject met een extra vleugje schimmel.
