Cozy, unusual building. Would use again
Parking is private, and I accept my part: on arrival I struggled to get into a space and firstly parked at the bottom near the trees. What made it confusing is that the signage (‘138 Owners’) appeared to match the bay, so I genuinely believed I’d parked correctly. So I moved there to that spot. A note was left on my car, but I only saw it when leaving because I didn’t drive during the stay. Owner could have contacted me by other direct means, but chose not to.

Great location with parking on site a huge bonus
The shower ran hot and then freezing cold ~ could not regulate a comfortable temperature The duvet was very thin and the mattress was hard

Nice quiet location - could do with some TLC
Quiet Location Parking off road ( but if you have a wide car it may not fit the alley entrance ) Kitchen
We knew the floor was uneven, but if you do struggle with walking this could well be an issue Mattress on the bed - Lumpy and sagging into the middle made for bad nights sleep every night Heating - was adequate, but we were cold in the evening's and over night Bathroom - Black mould on the bath matt - needs throwing away . Black mould in the shampoo shower tray holder Shower - went from cold to scolding hot in a couple of minutes making it unusable.

A delightful stay.
Perfect location for train, bus or car travel. Clean, comfortable bed. Tons of books, games and puzzles for rainy days. Quiet location. Huge fridge and freezer. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent booklet explaining all features of apartment. Easy walk to great Tesco and Aldi stores. Easy check in lock box. Everything in the apartment “worked” - stove, shower, windows, toilet, keys. New fire alarm system in a very old building made me feel safe.
A certain element of meanness/cheapness with only two rolls of loo paper/toilet paper and one roll of paper towels left for a 4 day stay. The electric device showing how much electricity has been used and the cost as well as reminder notes to conserve power are a bit childish and insulting. There was no response to my two e mails asking if there was a coffee maker and if so what type -(there was a French press).

Great flat in brilliant location.
Great location. Sweet flat. Everything we needed.
There's a bit of traffic noise but you get used to it. Quiet at night.

Spacious, good location, everything provided for a comfortable stay.
The Old Star and Garter is a very spacious, comfortable and clean self-catering apartment, everything was provided. There had been some comments about the uneven floor and the stair access, but neither of these were a problem and added to the charm of the old building. The very large bed was very comfortable, and the washing machine was appreciated. It has a great location, only a short five-minute walk (although up a moderate hill) to central Ludlow market square, castle, many great pubs, restaurants and shops, the market and assembly rooms. Chippy, Chinese, Indian and Feathers Pub very close, as well as Tesco for kitchen supplies. Close to the train station too.
The instructions for finding the door and key could have been more detailed, no mention was made that it had a common entry door with 138A, 138B and 138C, and these numbers were hidden behind the bins! Similarly it could have been noted the parking was further along the lane, past the lock-up garages. But small niggles, overall it was an excellent stay.

Well located.
Well-located in Ludlow.
Although we also live in a listed building with wavy floors, the sitting room floor has gone beyond the point of acceptable condition. The joists need to be packed and the floorboards stabilised. Lovely to have a bath (we only book places with one), but this one is not long enough to get your knees underwater without kneeling in it.

A great few days
Excellent town centre location with the added bonus of a designated parking space. A quirky 2nd floor apartment with a slightly awkward floor.
