A little gem 💎

Well equipped place, in a great location. Sally is a wonderful host & goes above & beyond to make sure you have what you need. She has thought of everything, to make your stay stress free & enjoyable. A bright & beautifully throughout space, which made it easy to feel at home.

There's only a couple of little things that could possibly be improved. The sofa was a little uncomfortable, not very padded under your seat. We found it a little chilly in the corridor between the lounge, shower room & bedrooms, but it is a beautiful old building.

Sally was a most wonderful host who met us personally to explain everything. Cosy cottage feel of a ground floor holiday let in an old converted pub, with comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and bathroom and so much care taken with pride to make you feel welcome with local produce. If you needed it, then look in a drawer or cupboard and it's there! A bit down from the main market area so if dodgy knees like us then take your time as the street has a gradual gradient to it to meet the market square, but excellent for supermarket/ railway station. Couldn't fault our stay. Thanks Sally.

Great stay in Ludlow

Gorgeous 2 bed apartment in lovely old building less than 5 mins walk from the middle of town. Remarkably well equipped and spotlessly clean with excellent quality kit. We had a lovely welcome pack with fresh fruit, bread, milk, butter and eggs, and Sally took time to show us everything and give us some useful tips about the town. Communication and instructions/directions beforehand were excellent 👌 and we had a parking spot too! We were very lucky to fill a cancellation on the busy festival weekend. Thoroughly recommended👍

A comfortable stay, exceptionally warm welcome and a wonderful location.

We were welcomed by the owner, who was very flexible about our arrival time, and had sent detailed information about directions to the property. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with excellent quality fittings and kitchen equipment. The property was perfectly located for visiting this beautiful and historic market town. There were also some lovely touches. All the kitchen basics such as tea, coffee etc. were provided, but the owner had also provided delicious local eggs and milk, butter, fresh bread and biscuits. There were also freshly picked flowers and a bowl of fruit from her garden, which was why we gave this an exceptional rating.

Perfect Stay

We had a wonderful time in this heritage apartment located in the middle of Ludlow and walking distance to its main attractions, restaurants and pubs. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, spacious, has comfortable bedding and a very well equipped kitchen. Our host Sally is a very special, friendly person who is committed to her guests having the best possible experience. Ludlow is an amazing destination full of interest and spanning many epochs of English history. Highly recommended accommodation!!

A real gem

This flat is a gem. It is very well furnished and equipped with really good quality items, especially in the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable, the bedrooms at the rear, therefore very quiet and the location is ideal for exploring Shropshire. The host is very helpful and has made files about the flat, local restaurants and walks, and interesting places to visit. Off street parking is a bonus. We recommend Sally's Old Star and Garter very warmly.

Sally thought of every thing, from bread, milk and eggs as a welcome to toiletries in case you’d forgotten anything, in our case toothpaste. Great location, so many lovely pubs and restaurants just a quick stroll away. Can highly recommend the Charlton arms, great food, drink and view over the river.

A real 'home from home' with a kind and helpful hostess, in a beautiful part of the world.

We had a wonderful stay in this immaculate, well fitted out, and well situated apartment. Sally greeted us in person and showed us round. She was very kind and helpful regarding our requested check in time. A generous range of extras was provided. It was only a short walk into the centre of Ludlow and you can walk into the countryside from the front door. There was lots of local information about walks, restaurants, etc in the flat. Overall we loved our stay in Ludlow and we loved this beautifully cared for accommodation.

Hostess (Sally) could not be faulted. Property clean and well supplied. Location less than 5 minutes from the centre of Ludlow, excellent off-street parking, not far from the railway station. The living room, kitchen and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and well equipped; if you wanted to self-cater you had everything you needed.

For us it was an excellent stay and I could not fault it in any way, but there a couple of features that others might find irksome. We stayed during a period of obnoxious weather: cold, wet and miserable; we were warm enough but others might find the house cool. If it is cold you will need to use the woodburner in the living room and you will need the supply of wood topped up daily. Of the two bedrooms, the one with the double bed has the bed and almost nothing else in it, there really isn't room; the single bedroom has a wardrobe and a chest of drawers - very basic.

Great place to stay!

This location is perfect for exploring Ludlow and the surrounding area. The accomodation is lovely, welcoming and comfortable, with everything having been thought of. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds comfortable, and the wood burning stove kept gave us an extra bit of cosiness and comfort at the end of our long days. The host Sally is welcoming and flexible, even helping us unload our luggage in the rain! She really cared about making sure we had what we needed for our stay. Hoping to return for a walking holiday one day.

Sally was fab, added little extras like milk bread farm eggs, totally exceptional and explained every thing, we could not fault the apartment, had every thing and more you needed, the bed was comfy ,shower was hot, we had a fabulous stay and will be booking again when we come back to Ludlow in the future.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A warm greeting on arrival, sally the owner let us in & we were given a personal tour of the charming property & could not have been more hospitable & welcoming, Sally also supplied us with a fresh pint of milk, 1/2 dozen eggs, butter & 1x white & 1x wholemeal loaves of delicious fresh bread, oh & a bowl of fresh fruit, there were a range of other supplies provided, nothing had been forgotten. an apartment on a main road with free Parking at the back of the premises was a massive bonus to our weekend stay. could not praise enough

Lovely Ludlow stay

This cottage is just perfect for a weekend stay in Ludlow. It is beautiful, clean, cosy and extremely well equipped. Sally is very thoughtful and helpful and left us some lovely local produce. It is only a short walk to the centre of the town/castle etc and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
