Enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Ludlow. Everything available for our stay. A little cold some nights but there was a log burner and logs. Garden untidy considering the pic on the advert. Nice shower, but noisy fan in bathroom that stayed on too long.

Good location within walking distance of shops, Ludlow Castle, etc. Most cafes & pubs dog friendly & lovely walks in Mortimer Forest just 20 mins drive away. A lovely break!

What a gem of a find this property was. It's within a couple of minutes walking distance of Ludlow town centre, which has some great cafes and restaurants, particularly Kin Kitchen for lunch and The Old Bakehouse for dinner.
Don't be put by the exterior of the place, you're staying inside it not outside.
Everything you'll need is there, particularly the dishwasher.
So if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Ludlow, stop looking, click book and carry on with the rest of your day.
Enjoy your trip, we certainly did.

Great position just out of the town
Great position just out of the town
The cottage is fab and a short stroll out of the town so very quiet at night. Although it's on a main road the traffic noise was minimal until around 7.30am. Very clean and comfortable and the on-street parking works perfectly and we were never more than a couple of metres from the front door.

A charming little cottage where we spent a very happy week.
A charming little cottage where we spent a very happy week.
The cottage provided everything needed for a comfortable stay and more. Lots of thought gone into the equipment and design. Location was excellent - just five minutes walk from centre. We were quite happy with the overgrown garden as it was a very hot week and we appreciated the shade! However, it does need some attention and there was a considerable amount of recycling piled up which looked more than a week's
usage.
We would certainly return here and recommend the property to friends.

Charming and well-situated cottage
Charming and well-situated cottage
99 Old Street is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of the beautiful centre of Ludlow. It feels remarkably spacious for its size and had been thoughtfully equipped. Lovely outside space, something of a 'secret garden', in which we enjoyed wine and birdsong. I would definitely stay here again.

Directions great and we found the cottage easily. The cottage was exactly right for us, although the 2nd bedroom was more suited to a child, it was fine. Plenty of clean towels in the bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed - we ate out most of the time at some excellent restaurants. We would highly recommend the Angel on Broad Street; the Church Inn and the Blue Boar were also good.

This was the perfect property for us, giving us a great location to access Ludlow town for a potter about about and to get out into the countryside with the dog. Parking was easy too. Property was very homely, with a small but well appointed kitchen. We would highly recommend the Pea Green cafe for a supper delivery to your door.

Beautiful Cottage with potentially beautiful garden
Beautiful Cottage with potentially beautiful garden
Ludlow is a gorgeous little town and our cottage was centrally located just outside the town centre. It was spotlessly clean, but lacking some kitchen items that were probably there at one time--such as something that could be used as a salad bowl. Recycling requirements in Shropshire are stringent, but other than directions of which of the bins to use for which items, there were no in-house bins to put food waste, paper and plastic, or glass. We made use of stuff in the kitchen to load those up and dutifully recycled, but it would have been nice if there had been items fit for purpose in the kitchen.
The bathroom was lovely, but the shower enclosure gasket leaks and water can puddle on the floor unless it is perfectly positioned. This could cause a potential longterm problem--there is some evidence of water damage around the doorway. However, we simply put a towel on the floor and that took care of the issue for the duration of our stay.
The garden, to which we had access, could be gorgeous and very useable, but it is overgrown and not very appealing. This was a comment made by numerous guests who signed the guest book. It is a real shame because the weather was beautiful during our stay and it would have been nice to use the garden.
The guest guide is out of date--there are no launderettes left in Ludlow and some instructions were for establishments long gone. I would recommend that it be updated.
In the long run we had a wonderful stay in the cottage and the issues I have raised above did not mar our enjoyment. However, as a somewhat expensive place to stay, it might behoove the owner to address them. We would stay there again in a second, especially if the garden were given some TLC!

Everything about the cottage is convenient, from its situation near the beautiful river Teme and a short walk to the town centre, to the pretty garden and spotlessly clean rooms. I would recommend this cottage to those looking for a charming place to enjoy a restful holiday away from it all. I am sure you will sleep well in the comfortable beds and enjoy breakfast in the secluded garden.

Charming weavers cottage, ideally positioned to enjoy Ludlow and surrounding areas.
Tastefully presented in every way. Lovely little garden to enjoy, if the weather permits and lots of walks nearby, if you have a dog.
The welcome items were very much appreciated and made us feel at home straight away.
Its a little gem, it ticked all our boxes and we will be returning.

The property was well situated with the town centre a few minutes walk up the road. There were plenty of pubs locally offering a wide range of food and drinks. There was also plenty of places to take our dog. Overall a very well appointed property well worth the money we paid for it.

Functional, but no character and no internet access and little phone reception
Functional, but no character and no internet access and little phone reception
This cottage is fairly well appointed, with everything one would expect in a self-catering cottage. However, the lounge/dining area is very small with no space to put your own things, leaving us feeling as though we were camping all week, stepping around bags. The kitchen is light and bright, but also very small - and no washing machine. There are no pictures on the walls upstairs and only a few on shelves in the lounge - it is all very bland and lacking character. It was also incredibly frustrating that there is no WiFi and no internet access on either of our phone networks. We were told this was because it's not possible to get a phone line to the property, but my phone picked up neighbours' WiFi and my friend got WiFi access just up the road (only way I could access the internet). There was also practically no tourist information provided in the cottage and being Christmas, nowhere was open to get it. I don't think there is an excuse for the lack of WiFi in an area that clearly does have it, particularly when so many mobile networks don't work, so you can't just pick up internet on 4G. We also couldn't get phone reception in the cottage - necessitating standing in the cold to make phone calls.

Compact, tidy and very clean. A well equipt kitchen, fresh smart decor throughout.
This old cottage has been updated to a good standard and still retains character.
Wood burner was a little gem, and there weren't too many ornaments or nicnacs!
No Wifi is a bit of a pain, and parking can be awkward, much of the free parking is restricted to 2 hrs, so worth asking for a permit when you book. Great to be close to Ludlow centre, such a superb town, We would choose to use no. 99 again, and I'm sure we shall do so quite soon.

We had a lovely relaxing time in Ludlow. The property was near to the town centre and had everything in it that we needed. Plenty of places to eat and drink. We particularly like the Rose and Crown and also the Blue Boar. Within easy reach of the rail station. We would stop again.

99 Old Street is a beautifully modernised cottage just a short walk from Ludlow town centre. Ludlow is a quaint historical town with interesting shops, places to eat and good walking countryside around. A visit Hereford to see Mappa Mundi is recommended.

99, Old Street. Ludlow
99, Old Street. Ludlow
A small house, but with everything you need for a holiday. Comfortable bed, Shower, and I even managed to use the swanky induction cooker. Plenty of towels, all utensils you would have at home etc. I've been to Ludlow 3 times and this was the best resourced house, apart from the TV - luckily, I'm not one for TV.
99, Old Street is some way down a very long street. If like me, you don't drive, you will be walking up and down a great many steep streets. This is actually a good thing - I lost a significant amount of weight and I walked up and down a VERY great deal.
For those who don't drive there are plenty of trains to be caught at Ludlow Station - (genuinely nice chaps if you need help) It is as easy to get to Hereford as it is to get to Shrewsbury and beyond. North or South the trains can take you where you might want to go.

A great little cottage.
A great little cottage with a lovely little garden. Just far enough away from the centre of Ludlow to be ideal. The Bull Ring and the famous Feathers Hotel only about a five minute walk away and the Market Square about seven or eight. We travelled by train and the station was less than a ten minute walk.
The cottage had everything you could want.

Delightful cottage in Ludlow
Delightful cottage in Ludlow
The arrangements for getting the key were easy and we were very impressed by the cleanliness and convenience of the cottage and its location. .it was well equipped and comfortable and when we asked for a hairdryer it was provided at once. For us, staying a week, we needed laundry facilities and had to buy a clothes line and pegs. A washing machine would have helped but the kitchen was too small. There was no Wifi which was a problem and the television was really small. A coffee table would have been helpful too. But Sarah has only been renting the cottage for a little while and we appreciated the quality of what was provided. Ludlow is a lovely town and we loved the walk by the river and trying some of the restaurants. We had a relaxing stay and the weather was very good, enabling us to eat out in the beautiful little garden.

What a town
What a town
Fabulous week in Ludlow, what a brilliant town, listed timber framed buildings everywhere, ancient old pubs, welcoming friendly people, great restaurants, cafes deli's, market 4 times a week, its a foodies paradise. On top of that is lovely countryside with great walks and you can walk for miles without bumping into anyone, try doing that in the Lakes or Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is perfect, has everything you need including a quiet outdoor garden area and only minutes walk from the town centre. Go, you wont be disappointed.
