Simply wonderful!

Clerval - Maison d'hôtes et Gîtes is a charming place to relax, located in a rural area between two villages, Dragey and Genets. Adjacent fields, paddocks and cow pastures across the street make it a place of absolute tranquility. Ana-Maria and Francois, who operate the property, are great hosts, very friendly and extremely helpful with valuable tips and recommendations. It started with a timely welcome message by Ana-Maria to navigate us to the property. To those just arriving: follow their advice and make your reservation in one of the recommended restaurants early, because the possibilities to eat out in Dragey and Genets are rather limited. And should you not find a restaurant to eat, try the Beaurepaire beach hut nestling just before Dragey-Ronthon beach, which, besides of good food, offers a heaven of peace to locals and curious visitors alike with a nice view of Mont Saint-Michel. This place, recommended by Francois, saved us twice from going to bed hungry :-) Clerval - Maison d'hôtes et Gîte sheds the charming atmosphere of a historic manor house, furnished in contemporary style. Our room was very spacious and clean, connected to a private garden with a terrace. The breakfast was delicious, prepared from things for every taste served in a cozy breakfast room. Many thanks to Ana-Maria and Francois, we've enjoyed our stay very much!

He even offered our son a horseback ride, showed us ducks and sheep, let us play with his dog.

Wonderful place to stay.

Everything was perfect. Room was really big and cozy as well as the bathroom. Owners were really helpful and nice, they also helped us to reserve a great restaurant. Breakfast was delicious with good coffee, croissants, bread, jam, cheese and freshly cooked eggs. The house itself is a beautiful mansion in a wonderful countryside. It is in a peaceful area and there is less than one hour drive to Mont St. Michel. I could have stayed more than two days there.

Tranquility and relaxation in a beautiful setting

Everything was fantastic!

From the moment we arrived, Ana and Francois were the perfect hosts, hospitable and helpful, giving us great restaurant recommendations and tips for the local area. The house is set in beautiful tranquil countryside, our room was warm and tastefully furnished with fantastic views across fields and meadows. We also joined a walking tour with Francois around the Mont St Michel Bay which was extremely insightful and a great way to appreciate the nature and history of Mt St Michel. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and breads and yogurt sourced at neighbouring farms! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful accommodation and perfect hosts in a a lovely part of rural Normandy

We had a wonderful two-night stay in Ana Maria and Francois' beautiful B&B in September 2021. The house is steeped in history and beautifully maintained. We had a very large bedroom with tea/coffee making facilities and fresh drinking water, and a very large en-suite bathroom; access to a separate sitting/reading area and use of an area in the dining room if we needed to store and prepare our own snacks. The house is situated in a very quiet, secluded area but close enough to Dragey and Le Mont Saint Michel if travelling by car. Ana Maria was more than helpful with information and advice, and even booked a restaurant for us - a wonderful hostess. We had truly delicious breakfasts of local and home-made organic produce, all beautifully presented. It was lovely to experience a little of rural Normandy in this beautiful place.

There was nothing we didn't like but it is so quiet we felt inclined to whisper and tiptoe around. Its more remote than we had imagined but once we got our bearings it didn't feel so remote. This accommodation is advertised as a hotel but it is a B&B and gites so be aware there is no TV in the rooms.

Relaxing, comfortable and welcoming countryside / coastal stay

A peaceful location in the countryside close to various sandy beaches with a spacious room and comfortable bed. Safe and free parking outside for our car and bikes, and good wifi in the room. Nice food and conversation at breakfast made for a pleasant way to start the day. Francois was an excellent host, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. We joined him for a traversée across the bay from Mont St Michel to Tombelaine which was one of the highlights of our holiday.

Erg vriendelijke vrouw en man die het B&B runnen hier. Een rustig fijn verblijf met een erg prettige comfortabele kamer. Vlakbij lekkere restaurants die aan te bevelen zijn en Le Mont-Saint-Michel. Een echte aanrader dus!

Wunderbares Herrenhaus - jederzeit wieder

Das Gastgeberehepaar war freundlich und äußerst hilfsbereit. Es hat uns nicht nur gute Restauranttipps gegeben, sondern auch die telefonische Reservierung vorgenommen. Unser geräumiges Zimmer war zusätzlich mit einem Sekretär und einer Sitzecke ausgestattet. Das große Bad verfügt über ein Fenster. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet - sogar mit einem extra gekochten Ei. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ideal für Unternehmungen (Mont St. Michel und Granville).

Unser Zimmer war ein wenig dunkel.

Wat een geweldige plek! Heerlijk rustig en klein opgezet. Ana Maria is een super aardige gastvrouw die zowel Frans, Engels, Duits en Spaans praat. Tevens zijn ze ook gidsen voor de wandelingen naar Mont Saint Michel

Es ist zu teuer für die Lage und das Service

- Die Wohnung ist geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. - Das Badezimmer ist groß und die Pflegeprodukte im Badezimmer sind mit sehr hoher Qualität angeboten.

- Das Haus befindet sich abseits der Straße. Der Weg zum Haus war steinig und nicht asphaltiert. Unser Auto war mehrfach mit Hindernissen (für Geschwidigkeitsbeschränkungen) auf dem Weg gestoßen. - Das Frühstück war OK, aber schlicht. - Die Familie des Hausbesitzers hat leider viel zu tun, um Gäste zu kümmern.
