Convient for our hiking trip, easy to find and check in.
The apartment was very small, with no form of outdoor area to relax in, and lacking in facilities such as a washing machine.

Fabulous hospitality and warm greetings on arrival - lovely pool which was very cooling for the feet after a long walk! The rooms were beautifully renovated and well thought out with hot plates, microwave and good size fridge in the kitchen and lovely bathroom with shower (great water pressure). They were very patient and tolerant of my poor French which was greatly appreciated. Staff very responsive and helpful.
Breakfast was simple but good variety and good quality food - not in expected in France.
Bit hot in the room although there was a lovely breeze coming in the window. Stairs a bit tight in last corner to room but staff insisted on helping with luggage which was awesome! No access to reception area prior to 4pm checkin so a bit tricky to find somewhere to wait if arrive early.

Breakfast was good. Staff most helpful.
My room a bit hot at night but other than that, after a long day of hiking was very happy to be there.

The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean
The pool was closed, the restaurant was closed, there was work going on in the room next door - overall just very tired and not at all as shown in the photographs.

Breakfast was very good, with a wide choice, including croissants.
The owner was very polite and pleasant, as was the girl waiting at dinner.
The dinner was good - tasty and good portions.
The hotel was very dated. Bedroom was small; two of the lights had dead bulbs in (in the morning we told the owner who said he would have them replaced).
Breakfast coffee was in a thermos far too small for the number of guests and was refilled with a considerable delay each time it was requested.

well maintained pretty grounds with easy parking. An excellent location with friendly staff. Dinner could be served outside on a terrace if wanted.
Not enough power points in the room and no special USB connectors available in room

The hotel is in the centre of St Jean le Thomas, almost opposite the Boulangerie, shop and cafe bar, and only a short, 5 minute, walk from the beach. Despite its central location in the village it was very quiet and peaceful, it felt like a haven of calm after a long journey from the U.K.
I found the hotel very clean and comfortable, if dated, and I stayed for 1 night in the triple room with my mother and my dog, which was perfect for us and very good value. The room, bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean and the linen was very good quality. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had a kettle, tea, coffee and uht milk in the room which was a very welcome surprise for a hotel in France (the small shop just across the road sells fresh milk). The room itself and the shower room were a good size, with plenty of space for my large dog (Labrador) to move about and settle himself comfortably.
The staff were friendly and helpful, tolerating my very poor French and using their slightly better English to ensure we understood everything we needed to. Particular thanks to the young gentleman who served us drinks and dinner who spoke excellent English and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was okay with our meal and our stay. Dinner was well cooked and tasty. breakfast was fresh and good quality continental served from 8:30am on the weekend.
There is plenty of parking in a gated area of the hotel grounds, which was reassuring with a fully loaded car. The hotel also has a pool and terrace which I unfortunately didn’t have time to use but it looked clean and inviting.
There was a slight mix-up with the bill on check out. Payments made through Booking.com don’t show in an obvious place on the hotel’s system, but this was quickly resolved when I pointed out I had already paid through Booking.com. The owner who checked me out was very polite and helpful, graciously resolving the billing error immediately.
The hotel is a little dated in appearance and decor, and lacking attention to detail in some places in the triple room e.g. a curtain separating the main bedroom with double bed from the smaller sleeping area with single bed has been removed but the curtain rail and tie back remain, the velux roof light in the smaller sleeping area doesn’t have a blind but a piece of material which falls off when opening the window/roof light (essential in hot weather) etc.

A family-owned hotel in a nice little village. The staff is very attentive to your needs and goes beyond the call of duty. Nice dinner, home-cooking. Breakfast was very generous with pancakes and home-made jams in addition to the traditional fare. Swimming pool a plus!

Sehr freundliches Personal, neu renovierte Zimmer mit nagelneuer gut ausgestatteter kleiner Pantry. Gute Lage. Guter Pool.
