Location, location, location! This place is pretty old with no AC, but cooled down just fine over night with open windows. It would not have been comfortable without opening the windows. My teenage boys stayed in a different room on the first floor, so they didn’t open the windows and were pretty miserable all night.

Really needs updating.

What a fairytale place! Absolutely magical! We spent one night at L'Hermitage, on the highest floor, and felt like princesses in a tower. Staying here is so much more than simply spending a night in a hotel - it's a true immersion into the history and unique atmosphere of La Mère Poulard and the heart of Mont-Saint-Michel. Everything about our stay was wonderful: the breathtaking view, the beautifully decorated room, the incredibly comfortable bed, and the spotless bathroom. Every detail made our stay feel special. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, featuring an excellent selection of local cheeses, freshly baked bread, and wonderful pastries. Yes, staying in such a historic place is expensive, but it is worth every single cent. The real magic begins after the day-trippers leave - late in the evening and early in the morning - when Mont-Saint-Michel becomes peaceful, almost timeless, and truly enchanting. We only wish we had stayed longer and will definitely do so on our next visit. This is an experience we'll never forget!✨

I liked the location and the availability of the staff via phone.

It was marketed as high end but it was more on the lower end. I didn’t like that it seemed like the property was on the higher ground but it was actually on the ground. The rooms looked much better in the photos. The room was small and not the right type of modern. I felt deceived that the reception was somewhere else, the one key only made it inconvenient for the two of us. The restaurant was ok, but there was only one person working really hard to help everyone. There were no tables set when we came in, no glasses, no dishes for us to serve ourselves.
