Convenient location, well-equipped flat.

For us, the location was ideal (2 minutes' walk from Comte de Flandre metro station, right next to a tram stop as well). Very easy to get into town; just a few minutes walk to a bakery/Carrefour Express. We liked the view, the comfortable beds, the well-equipped kitchen.

Shower never got properly hot. Property could have been cleaner (we found hair on the stairs). Smell of drains on arrival.

Lovely, spacious apartment near city centre

This was an excellent find! The apartment was easily located a few blocks away from city centre (maybe a 10 min walk). The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. There was a washing machine (which we didn't use, but nice to note), along with extra pillows and a duvet in one of the closets. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first level, and then the open-plan living area and kitchen are up one internal flight of stairs. Great for families, as long as everyone can climb stairs. Also worth mentioning is how excellent the hosts were. They sent me the check-in information days before arrival and were always reachable by message. The apartment was clean beforehand, and check-in/check-out were very easy. I would happily stay here again, especially if it meant having a Brussels-style waffle at Gaston (located around the corner). :)

The hot water in the shower was more like warm water. There are also a lot of stairs to climb, and the staircase is quite narrow. It seems like each apartment in the building covers two floors, so the third-floor apartment is up about six flights of stairs. Also, the larger bedroom overlooking the canal (my friend's family stayed in) was noisy at night. I had no noise issues in the other bedroom.

Just awful - we refused to stay the night

Nothing. The description was misleading

The apartment was in a scruffy street and up 50 stairs. The outside was filthy and alongside a main road. The entrance hall stank of cigarette smoke and the kitchen had a sour smell. The view from the back overlooked dirty neighbouring terraces and the view from the front overlooked a noisy man road and tram line. We hated the place so much we did not stay the night. Weeds and dog mess outside the front door. Disgraceful misrepresentation saying it is a charming canal side apartment.

Great family stay

The apartment was lovely and we had a very comfortable stay in Brussels. We often have issues when travelling as my son has many allergies (including a dust allergy) and can be easily irritated by his environment, particularly at nighttime. We had no issues at all here as the apartment was spotless upon arrival, the beds were very comfortable and there were fans in both bedrooms. We were pleasantly surprised with what was provided in the apartment. It contained everything you need, much more than is usually provided in our experience- an iron, ironing board, smart TV, fans in each bedroom, washing machine, some toiletries, towels, toilet roll etc. We travelled as a family of 5 with 3 children and we all didn't need to use the sofa bed as the two beds were so generously sized. The host was very polite and helpful. We were particularly appreciative of them allowing us to store our luggage in the building after checking out on our final day. We had an evening flight so we were able to spend the day exploring some more instead of wasting our last day at the airport. We were very grateful they were so accommodating as they didn't need to do that. We found the location great with a short walk to the city centre, and both Metro and tram stops a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment is the top of 3 apartments in the building so there are a fair few steps to get up to reach it which someone with mobility issues may struggle with, but we didn't mind at all and you get great views along the canal from the top floor. We would stay here again if travelling to Brussels and definitely would recommend.

Nice stay with minor initial hiccups

The apartment was well furnished and clean. We particularly enjoyed the living area on the floor above, which came with a tv, dining table, sofa and comfortable chairs. The kitchen was on the same floor and came with all the required appliances. We used the kitchen to make coffee and quick breakfasts in the morning which proved to be helpful. It also came with a well functioning iron and washing machine. Checkin and checkout process was pretty smooth. We had requested for check-in one hour earlier which was kindly accomodated. The place is well situated near tram and bus station which can be used to travel anywhere in the city (with few changes). The bus station was temporarily relocated few meters away and the locals came forward to guide us on the same when they saw us standing at the old location (the notice was in different language). Overall the area felt safe and friendly.

The apartment was at 3rd floor, but came without lift. We didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the listing and hence were not prepared to carry our luggage across huge flight of stairs. Every floor was a Duplex hence the stairs felt a lot. On the first day we reached in the afternoon and felt hot. We requested for one additional portable fan as only one was provided in the apartment but didn't receive a response on it. Ultimately we didn't spend our afternoons in the apartment and didn't feel the need to request again. Otherwise the weather was pretty pleasant and the apartment came with huge windows which we kept open. The apartment overlooks main road so you end Waking up to the noise of vehicles. But not too bad. There were 5 of us using the wifi which was felt to be slow.

Good location, short walk to city center. Host was great and resolved a couple of issues immediately, they were always quick to respond to any communication. The property had everything that we could need.

The beds weren't comfy, especially one which only had a thin futon mattress on it.

Nice apartment but very strange and not reassuring neighborhood.

The apartment is charming, lots of linens available and very easy access to the building.

The place of the apartment is not very popular, there are tents everywhere in front of the building and many homeless people a few meters from the entrance of the building. Too bad, because the apartment is nice but the neighborhood does not inspire confidence.

The apartment was lovely ,modern and clean .The host was very helpful and responded quickly .15 minute walk to central square

The stairs up to 3rd floor were steep and lots of them so was hard getting luggage and pram up .Also kitchen and living room upstairs in loft which was not rally suitable foe a toddler .we barricaded around the stairs .Area a little worrying as seemed to be immigrants setting up camp on canal bridge across the street .

Cosy and well located

Very cosy apartment, two separate bedrooms and spacious room upstairs was perfect for group of four. Location is very good also, we reached most of places by walk.

Exceptional

We were a group of 6 friends spending the weekend in Brussels. The apartment was exactly what we wanted and is better than the photos. It can easily accommodate 6 people and is very comfortable. The communication with the owner was also very good. Thank you!!

Wonderful stay in a a spacious unit in a convenient walkable location

This is a very convenient location within walking distance of lots to do! It is also a lot of space for such a great price. Great for groups. The unit is very secure and comfortable.

It was a bit difficult to find parking, even to just unload our bags. It is a busy, one-way street. Also, the spiral staircase is beautiful aesthetically, but narrow and difficult to navigate with large bags. Finally, having A/C was a nice benefit, but it is locked and controlled by the owner, so it was not possible to adjust it easily, especially in the middle of the night.

Best place in Brussels

Thank you for the great stay! We've stayed in several other places in Brussels, but this one is the best so far: the city center and trendy restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. Bonus points for the extra clean apartment, comfy beds and the silence at night, we couldn't ask for more
