Poets Cottage

A quiet location, good for coastal walks and touring by car. There is a reasonable bus service to Saltburn on Sea and other local towns.

A welcome pack with details about local services such as medical, shops (non in village) cafes, pubs and restaurants would be useful.

Claires cottage was fantastic in every way couldn't have asked for a better stay.

There was nothing to dislike at all,.

Clean, well furnished. Close to the beach. Accessible bathroom. Owners quick to respond to any issues

It suited our needs perfectly.

Quiet location, good parking, choice of beaches, good for hiking, friendly locals. Comfortable seating indoors. Nice linen and towels. Convenient road access for coastal and inland attractions. Didn't use, but there was a regular bus service turning around outside the house with a stop opposite.

No hanging space for clothes in downstairs bedroom or for coats in hall. Top kitchen cupboards too high, very difficult to reach items on the top shelf (we're 5ft 6ins) No 'house book' - instructions for appliances, local doctors, rubbish day / recycling / outdoor bins etc. Unusually no basics - paper towels, condiments, tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs, bath or shower gel etc. Would happily have brought sufficient from home if I'd known in advance, instead had to do a special shop and was left with extras to take back home.
