Cheerful Roomy cottage, great kitchen and outdoor seating area.

Clean and fresh Great modern kitchen Roomy bedrooms. Coastal views and walking opportunities were fantastic.

Downstairs mattress was really uncomfortable- especially in comparison to the two beds upstairs. Tiny bath towels Only one bin bag provided for the whole week stay which we though a little ungenerous and no chopping board. Skinningrove itself wasn't the best place to stay. (The beach was lovely though)

It was easy for me to get in and out of as only one step and a bedroom, bathroom/ wet room downstairs. Sofa was so comfortable and the views out the window was lovely. Warm evenings we could sit out the back too. Our little bird could come to in her cage and the owners were so helpful. The cottage felt so cozy, homely and comfortable that we booked to come back in 3 months.

Nothing was bad on the property at all but outside parking was a bit of a nightmare as couldn’t get directly outside all the time despite a sign saying No Parking. Parking was registered for us to be able to park there but it wasn’t a huge issue. Minor blip.

Fabulous Holiday

There was plenty of room for my son's wheelchair, and it was exceptionally welcoming and comfortable throughout.

Not always being able to park outside the cottage, but that was due to the ignorance of others, and no fault of the hosts.

Exceptional

The cottage is lovely and cosy, clean and warm, with everything you need, the village is quiet and the walks are many and lovely. Handy for shops and pubs in nearby villages and the village bar is excellent for food, also visited cod and lobster, staithes, amazing

A chilled break away for our wedding anniversary

The location was close to the Cleveland way, so very good for walking. Handy little shop around the corner , but only opens until 2pm, but does stock a wide range of items. The Kassandra cafe & covells bar, just a 5 min walk up the road was excellent, the food & staff were first class.

Just a couple of negatives, ironing board , but no iron ,& no toilet roll. If you had come on a long journey & needed the toilet, it’s not very good, just one would be good. Never been to a cottage before without at least one.

We had a lovely week at Poets cottage 😀

Lovely clean cosy cottage, beds were really comfortable, and sofa for relaxing in the evening, lovely modern kitchen with seating area in the back yard, beautiful beach just a few minutes walk away, close to plenty of walks ( Cleveland way) and some great pubs for food about 10 minutes drive away (badger hounds in Hinderwell & the Tiger inn at Easington) we especially liked.

Not much to do in Skinningrove apart from the beach but if you’re happy to drive out places then Poets cottage is lovely to come back to to relax in the evenings

Superb

Apartment is nice and clean. I was there with my colleagues during business trip as contractor for local company which is really close to it. Neighborhood is quiet and local beach is very nice. There are cliffs and hills nearby with good view. The kitchen and living room are perfect. Kitchen include all you need for cooking and baking. I will recomend it for contractors as well as for romantic weekends and holidays with family. Also backyard is very special in good way.

The only thing what was a bit anoying was that front doors, doors to bathroom and doors to bottom bedrom were bit older and hard to open and close. I am big guy but sometimes I had to pull or push hard to open them.

Exceptional

The property was beautifully renovated to a high standard.and it was spotlessly clean. Lovely location for walking on the Cleveland way and to the beautiful beach. We loved the outside comfy area under cover were we spent most of our evenings.

There were a few small things that the property didn’t have that would have been useful for our stay but being new this was understandable and we fed our comments back to the owners who found the ideas useful
