Groveside Holiday Lets

This the second time we have stayed at Groveside (2 bedroom apartment). The first had a few glitches which I discussed with the owner directly and was soon sorted out without any awkwardness and complete professionalism from the owner. I booked a (very) last minute reservation and on this return, the house was spotless, beautifully clean linen and towels. I was even offered early check in due to the last minute booking which I thought was very thoughtful. The flooring in the apartment is completely non-carpeted which is appealing when you bring your dogs with! And the big tub to soak in after a long day of walking is just sublime. You won't find a better location in Saltburn for such exceptional value for money. Close walking distance to the beach, to a large sainsbury's and to the town centre where you will find all the fabulous coffee houses, wine bars, cafes and restaurants.

You cannot park outside, only for drop offs and offloading but this is really a non issue as there is plenty parking on Marine Parade opposite the apartment as well as the adjacent side streets. Be prepared for some early morning noise, especially on a Thursday morning when refuse is collected but this is unavoidable. And remember that this is an apartment in a big Victorian building after all so there is noise from other residents. My only suggestion is a topper of some sorts for the mattresses - they are quite hard. And perhaps a fan for those who struggle with hot flushes at night. My other suggestion is for guests - bring your own pillow if you are a bit fussy like me...pillows are a tad thin and this can really improve your sleeping arrangements. Other than that, it's great and we hope to be back soon.

Location for the beach and town centre

Lovely apartment. Great location. Really peaceful. Would come again.

The location was ideal- beach only a short walk away, plenty of things to do in area, parking is a bit of an issue. Would be better if permits could be provided or could park outside property.

That it had cooking facilities and 2 bedroom/2bathroom. Good communication from owners- finding keys and check in/out times. However the floors was black (as I didn’t wear shoes and my feet looked like I’d done a trek outside) the sofas needs a deep clean as there is dog hair all down the sides and underneath cushions. And mattresses/pillows need replacing. Mattress really hard and pillows are way too thin. Also every surface was sticky from whatever product the cleaner is using to clean (dining table, coffee table, bedroom furniture)
