Chadwick guest house is well worth staying at if you visit the area, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and most of all very clean. There is also plenty of on street parking, breakfast was great and Claudio is an exceptional host, I would definitely recommend this property 👍

Nothing to dislike

Very clean, very friendly, very good value. The room smelt of clean washing (nice) and was exactly as seen in the advert. Decent breakfast, quality sausages.

Other guests were a bit noisy and it's not very well soundproofed.

Just a few steps to the bathroom.

Everything was spotlessly clean. The room was spacious with plently of storage. The decor throughout was pleasant. Free parking was right next to the guesthouse. Breakfasts were good and our host was very accomodating to our choices. Definitely value for money.

Two of the pillows were a little hard. We would have appreciated some local information in the guest lounge eg an area map, a list of local restaurants and cafes.

Location was ideal for our needs

Didn't like having to leave our room to use the bathroom, but we we're aware before arrival and it was reflected in the cost.

Everything- clean, very well looked after. Claudio is an excellent host. It’s great value for money and it’s my go to place!

There is nothing I didn’t like

We are an older couple; have been travelling from Australia for three months. We received the warmest welcome from our host, and made to feel ‘right at home’ in room 7. Chadwick Guest House is an older building with great charm; the relaxing sitting room is furnished beautifully and there is a large TV and books to browse. The breakfast room is spacious and food was delicious and plentiful. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

A very well kept and organised, comfortable small guest house. The shared facilities were always immaculately clean. The full English breakfast was excellent. A really enjoyable place to stay.

The breakfast was served a little early for me, but that did have the advantage of getting me up and going on a morning.

Claudio the owner is a lovely guy, very friendly and helpful. He got me an iron to use and said no problem just whenever you need to use it and just leave it in the room when check out. He also said on my checkout day no problem if I needed to check out a bit later. Lovely homely personal service that you don't get in big chains. Perfect stay, no negative issues at all. Super value for money, quiet and secure building in a nice safe area and my room overlooked a green at the front which was nice. Excellent cooked breakfast for the price and also options of toast with butter or jam and lots of different cereals and orange juice. Lovely clean building. Ti ringrazio per la tua splendida ospitalità, Claudio!

Nothing, I have zero complaints.

Claudio is an excellent host, and the cooked breakfast was great, right down to the inclusion of vegetarian sausages.

I have no complaints at all, and even the shared bathroom was mitigated by the presence of separate toilets plus a sink in my room.

It was clean and quiet and the owner gave me the keys much earlier than the given time.

wow!!! I like to go for the guest house option as I find it to be more personal and Claudio lived up to that! probably the best experience I’ve had. first of all, I arrived later than anticipated and drenched due to a downpour, Claudio gave me a warm welcome, showed me the showers and to my room. Claudio knew I wanted something mircowaving and actually did that for me whilst I showered and delivered it to the room, which was so kind of him. the following day we went above and beyond by going to his own home to tumble dry my clothes which hadn’t dried out. without that it would have been an uncomfortable journey home. in terms of the property, it was perfect for what I wanted, clean and comfy and there was never a queue for the bathroom. Claudio’s scrambled eggs were also delicious and it was nice to have a veggie option. thank you!!

The friendliness and desire of the staff to make my stay comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent.

Chadwick guest house is a simple place, spotless clean, that felt welcoming and safe. The owner is very polite. Although the bathroom is shared, it's only 6 rooms and i never had to wait, it never felt crowded and was always spotless. Freshly cooked English breakfast. The guest house is about 15mins walk from the centre,in a residential and very green area that felt safe (where the centre of the town doesn't always).

I'd suggest taking an eye mask and ear plugs with you, as the rooms are very bright and on a busy street with traffic noise. Aside the cooked ones, the breakfast could do with better quality ingredients, eg not the cheapest supermarket bread, not the plastic single packed jams, a fresh juice...

Breakfast was very enjoyable and well presented, room was comfortable, choice of shared showers, nice quiet guest lounge to sit in and fast WiFi. Pleasant host.

Claudio, the proprietor, took every care to cater for my special dietary needs.
