The room smelt damp radiator leaked everywhere onto my clothes bathroom was dirty dusty mouldy water was cold never ran hot just smelt really bad of mould and my child couldn’t stay in a room tha smelt of mould which could of affected my child’s lungs

Air b&b type accomodation in a quiet street in Middlesbrough.

There were no problems checking in. The bed was of a good size and comfortable. There was a good sized bath with sufficient hot water. Tea and coffee was provided in the communal kitchen.

Straightforward stay with code entry, small and mostly tidy en suite room, ideal locatio for the university - two minutes walk - and very good value.

Great potential but guests must be able to get a proper rest

My first floor room was a good size and great value for an en suite room . The owner was very helpfully and offered coffee and use of the WiFi.

Evening was ruined by the loud talking and banging doors from downstairs which went on all night until around 4am. Having made a long drive with another very early 5am start I desperately needed rest which I didn’t get.

Wouldn’t recommend

The kitchen didn’t look anything like the pictures and was filthy. The whole unit complex was mid renovation. Woke in the middle of the night to cigarette smoke, despite window being shut, and was stronger smell in the bathroom…

Access to my room was easy. I only stayed one night but everything seemed clean and I slept fine on the bed.

The space was borderline dilapidated; the bathroom had planks of wood roughly covering what I assume are pipes and the ceiling was unfinished. In the room, cracks were on the wall and everything lacked TLC.

Horrendous place, would not recommend.

I liked the location and the parking outside the front of the building. The price was good.

The house was very run down, the kitchen was filthy, there was a nasty smell in the house, the doors didn't shut properly, there was no shower curtain so the water went all over the bathroom, the mattress was so slim and uncomfortable, the bathroom was not maintained, the wardrobe was leaning forward like it was going to fall over, there was an external door in our room, which led to a back alley full of unwanted items, such as old and broken furniture, the bedding was dirty and had stains on it so we slept fully clothed. I would not recommend this property.

Luckily this was a once off because I wouldn’t stay again

Wasn’t sure what to expect from the room for what I paid for it. I guess for £33 I shouldn’t complain but I’ve never stayed in a room like this before. I wouldn’t even rent out a room if it looked like this. Door can barely close and no way it’s fire proof. Walls around door is cracked because you have to slam door to close it. Bathroom looks like it’s been put together in 10min. Sockets went out and then fire alarm went off for 20min. Power went off again 45min later. I personally don’t think the place is safe to live in.

A lovely stay in a beautiful property.

Where to begin this property is outstanding when me and my partner arrived we spoke to the owner via the ring doorbell which was excellent he sorted us out in a matter of minutes and the lock on the door is exceptional very high tech and secure he then gave me the pin for the door as we went out for dinner but was needed to get back into the property this place truly is amazing I mean that right from my heart the owner lovely friendly guy very helpful now the room, well what can I say for just over 50 pounds it was excellent very very clean beautiful bed really comfortable and a beautiful room ensuite was upto 5 star standards the shower was great no problems at all and I also like how it was quiet as owner doesn't allow stag or hen party's so that was a plus both me and my partner enjoyed this fine establishment major respect to the owner he's done a fantastic job I highly recommend this property but be aware this isn't a hotel so no breakfast option this didn't bother us but I'm just saying before people complain about that. 20 minute walk from Middlesbrough Town centre excellent property I can't recommended this place enough. Great priced single night/weekend stop close to town

Close proximity to town 10 mins walk max Quiet as minimal other guests. Quick check in once sorted. Carpets, bed, most surfaces were clean and rooms smelt fresh.

Prior awareness of needing an app to access house main door would have been better so I could have downloaded over WiFi prior to arrival. Some aspects of the hotel could have been cleaner and better maintained but cannot complain given the price. Parking is about 5/10 mins walk away for on street paid parking by the uni or secure car parks. Not strictly allowed to temporarily park car on nearby street as permit required but if someone is in the car you would be fine for checking in imo.

I really loved the ambiance. I am happy I booked it. 10/10 recommend.

The host is very hospitable. I love the aesthetics of the room , entry hallway . There’s a smart door lock which ensures the safety and security of guests. The heating was great. The hot water perfect. All my requests were answered and provided solutions for by the host such as getting my bag stored safely after checkout and come back for it later since I had to attend a ceremony and couldn’t go with my suitcase. The communication was really great. The location is just perfect close to the Town centre , Albert park and some food joints & convenient shops. The host is really helpful , I humbly requested for an extra time to check since I was running behind time glamming up for a ceremony and he extended my checkout time as I requested. He is a patient and a very amazing host. I have recommended the place to my colleagues and acquaintances.
