Lovely homely cottage

It is a wonderful place to stay and we felt really at home from the moment we walked through the door. Spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and welcoming. Excellent facilities including a well equipped kitchen, large walk-in shower in the bathroom and secluded back garden with decking and garden furniture. My husband and I had brought his 86 year old mother to visit family, so the downstairs bedroom next to the bathroom was ideal for her while we stayed in the upstairs double room. Owen, the owner host, was so helpful and it was a relief to arrive knowing there would be tea and fresh milk in the fridge after the long train journey from London. The location is excellent as near to the train station, shops, pubs and restaurants all only a few mins walk away, but far enough not to be bothered at all by any noise from the high street. Highly recommend, we will book again next time we visit our Scottish cousins.
Don't think there was anything we did not like. Parking on the street was busy, but Owen had warned us in advance that there was no allocated parking space for the cottage. We came on the train, so not an issue for us and there is a taxi rank a few mins walk away behind B&M store on Main Street. Owen provided everything we needed for a restful long weekend break.
