We stayed on Christmas night and had our dinner in the restaurant, which was lovey despite how busy it was as we arrived just as the sittings were changing over. The bedroom was wonderful and just what you needed for a special night away ✨️ with a lovely roll top bath in the middle of the bathroom. The landlady was lovely and great to talk to when she got chance. It was great to also speak to the chef after dinner... well done to all the team for making our Christmas day escape all we could have hoped for 🥰
Little mix up with the room we had booked on arrival, but it was sorted out quickly and didn't spoil our stay.

Stunning location and a beautifully presented hotel/pub.
Next doors TV was set to ultra loud 🤷♂️

breakfast was really nice, however we were charged an extra £50 for our child which had not been made clear at time of booking - this first night he didn't even have a bed made up for him so he slept with us.

It’s a traditional pub in the kind of village Hollywood would think “typically English”. The room we stayed in had everything you could need from home made cookies to a Victorian style bath. It was fabulously decorated.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. Property itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also fantastic as was our evening meal.

The garden patio area was exceptionally smart.
The decor, furniture and cleanliness were pleasing to note.
We did not like the following aspects of our stay:
The bathroom area which was not a separate room or indeed private had glass doors on the shower area and on the toilet area. Not at all at ease with this arrangement. The shower flooded every time dispute obeying our instructions to keep the door closed.
Our a la carte dinner experience underwhelmed. The lamb was tough and difficult to cut. Not worth £28.
Would have preferred the cost to be taken off the bill instead of a free dessert.
Breakfast was a dull affair and to our dismay no fruit, no yogurt, no jam or marmalade or fresh baked items.
The coffee was borderline acceptable in terms of quality and temperature.

We absolutely loved our time here. The bed was very comfy, we stayed in Blue and it was perfect for us. The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. The owner was absolutely lovely and welcoming, also very passionate about their business and it shows in everything they do. I strongly recommend staying here, it was a treat for us, one of the best breaks I have ever had. Last but not least the food was 10/10, exceptional!!

The rooms are attractive well maintained and quiet. The staff are helpful and the meals good quality.
All this comes at typical south of England prices, i.e. not low cost.

Friendly relaxing stay.
Very hot in room. Fan didn’t really help but nothing else could be done due to weather

A fabulous hidden gem in the Ribble Valley. The dog friendly Henry suite was superb. Not having to compromise on the quality of room when travelling with a dog is rare. Here, we felt we had the same comforts and luxury of the other rooms which was wonderful and so appreciated. The Sunday 3 course dinner was fabulous. The chefs are a credit. They even sent out some beef trimmings for our dane. All the staff were friendly and welcoming of us, even with a giant dog in tow. We left the Coach & Horses already planning our next visit.

A beautiful and very spacious room - Rose - made it a special stay. The shower and bath were excellent. Location in a beautiful village and the dinner was excellent.
Breakfast - while good for cooked - could have had a better selection of muesli / granola with yoghurt and fruits.

Stunning old pub in lovely location, really nice beer garden. We stayed in Henry, such a beautiful room with a cast iron bath, the bed and bedding was extremely comfortable, the area is a little remote but uber worked to get around if you didn't want to drive. There was a problem in the kitchen sunday, however the very professional staff had sorted us a table at a nearby pub with taxis there and back, they couldn't of done anything more, was a shame because breakfast on Monday was delicious and I'm sure the roast would of been great. Overall we had a lovely stay

Fabulous inn, in a beautiful village . We stayed in the Rose room, totally unique with a wonderful bathtub in the centre. The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent and of a very high standard.
Would strongly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Breakfast was excellent. Generous portions and an excellent choice.
Only one small complaint, we were in Henry room which was beautiful and a good size. The bathroom was lovely but had quite a steep step.

A bit pricey - we had dinner the night before which was excellent but price was quite steep as it was fore the room also.
