Incredible location : stunning valley brimming with nature, wildlife, fascinating geology, history and beauty! Super-friendly and knowledgable host, Colin.
Some folk wouldn’t enjoy the last 3km of approach: loose-scree rocky hill climbing rally! But our rental car managed it, guided by Colin in a high-clearance vehicle. I loved it! Maybe not when wet……

Gloria and Colin are wonderful hosts, the location very scenic. A traditional farmhouse with nice outdoor areas as well. The path leading to Valhalla Ranch is worth the hassle.

Even though the weather conditions were unexpected over the weekend, the host went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. It’s great for large group of people with two full bathrooms, many braai facilities, fireplace, plenty wood and fully equipped kitchen. Entrance road requires high clearance vehicle but when conditions are wet and slippery you’ll need a 4x4.

Everything! The location was stunning the host excellent. We chose the location for its location to Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift. It served that purpose perfectly. Nothing was to much trouble for our host, Brett, he took us on a drive in the evenings to see the local wildlife. Giraffe, Kudu, Zebra to name a few. As well as showing us some Bushman cave drawings. Enjoy being in your own personal valley. An absolute gem!
Only minor point but not major. At the time we went it mentioned a pool but this was not functioning at the time. However, this did not effect our stay at all.
