Dargle Camping & Caravan Site

Friendly hosts. Bathroom and toilets were clean and spacious and quite nicely designed and decorated.

The actual place to erect the tent (camp site) was difficult to get the car close to, so if you have a lot of equipment you would need to carry it, which isn't idea. Also if you had a rooftop tent, you wouldn't be able to get into that particular site. It was also under the trees, which was beautiful, but muddy and wet. We opted for a spot outside the designated camp site on the grass (the host was very gracious and allowed us to). The only other thing was other guests played load music until very late - which wasn't ideal given we were Swimming Midmar the next day and wanted to get a good nights rest.

The host Jackie is so incredibly welcoming, attentive and kind, she generously shared farm eggs with us and the facilities were absolutely lovely and met our needs as campers. The farm lifestyle is great with kids with so much to keep them busy from the veg patch to the pigs and dogs. A really tranquil special space and we will be back. Really close to all the midlands meander activities so makes its positioning so accessible to it all.
