Bryan, our host was excellent , he made us very welcome and really looked after us. He’s a walking encyclopaedia on the Zulu wars.
The weather could have been a bit warmer but as it’s the middle of winter that’s asking for a bit of the impossible.

Bryan was very great host. Firstly I took a tour with him to the battlefield, where he told a detailed and entertaining narrative of the battle. Afterwards, he took me to the campsite where everything was prepared for me despite the last minute booking. I enjoyed a memorable evening with Bryan and his colleagues over a traditional Zulu Braai.

Outstanding hospitality!! Bryan and Philani went out of their way to make the stay as memorable as possible. Even though I was only one person, they made a large bonfire, and both spent the entire evening talking to me and telling stories. Tent simple but comfortable with warm blankets and torch to use. Piping hot showers. All in all, a great experience!

Superb views of the surrounding African hills. Excellent tents, very comfortable beds. Food and drink was plentiful and very warm and friendly hosts
