It was a wonderful and fulfilling experience

I and my family enjoyed staying at the hawksworth house in Birmingham because of its serenity and proximity to our even centre at Hilton Metropole. It’s spacious and good value for money

The sofa bed isn’t quite comfortable and the television could use a bigger one as it wasn’t quite ok for our aging eyes. Audi more bin bags could be provided..

Perfect for a girls weekend away

The beds were super comfy and the first floor was easily accessible with banisters so my mum could sleep upstairs happily. 3 toilets! And one on the ground floor was fantastic. Amenities in the kitchen were great. OMG the fire in the lounge was beautiful 😍

No information about recycling and only a small bin for 6 people for 2 nights was a bit hard.

Great location comfy beds, but in desperate need of cleaning and decorating.

The bedding was very clean and the beds were comfy. Unfortunately you can hear everything from the neighbours houses. The place has only uncomfortable dining chairs a very low stained sofa. So we spent a lot of time laid on our beds in separate rooms rather than being able to spend time chatting or watching telly in the living room. Every surface was sticky and the paintwork ingrained with dirt.

It needs a really good clean, fresh paint and comfortable furniture.

Location to NEC

It was very dirty. The kitchen floor was sticky, the carpet was worn, and the doors, bed, and walls were filthy. Everyone commented on the TV and sofa being very small. The place and garden need TLC, but still, nothing has been done about them. I'm not sure how it got an overall rating of 9. Maybe family members rated it.

Great location and spacious home

The house was amazing and spacious. There was private parking and a garden as well. It was a little difficult to find the parking, but once we did it was easy. The location is perfect for anyone visiting the NEC and area. It was nice that we all had our own rooms and there were 3 toilets as well. The kitchen is a bit snug, but has most of what you needed. Overall I would recommend it to anyone.

You could hear the neighbours through the wall, which unfortunately is difficult for my son to manage. There were no bin bags for the rubbish, only shopping bags.

A pleasant stay

Then house was nice, it had the facilities that we required for our 2 night stay and was conveniently close to the NEC

The TV and Sofa in the lounge needed to be larger. Even for 3 of us, we couldn't all fit on the sofa and the tv was tiny. My bedroom (small one at back) might need a new mattress or at least a mattress topper as it was quite uncomfortable unfortunately. Also a lot of the doors/door handles squeaked so a little suggestion of WD40 would do the trick :) Carine was a lovely host though, very pleasant and great communications throughout.

Lovely property plenty of space for everyone would recommend

I liked everything about the property, it was clean, comfortable, spacious, and we had a peaceful stay. The rooms were a good size and had 2 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. I also liked that it had a garden and a back gate which made it convenient for accessing the property from the car when parking round the back. The owner is lovely and very helpful too. We would definitely stay again for our planned trips in the near future

There was nothing we didn't like but the sofa was a bit small for the amount of people we had but there is a dining table and chairs in the front room so everyone had somewhere to sit. But if we were there for a longer stay a bigger sofa would be good

Enjoyable few days away, great location for NEC.

Bedrooms were good as suited our group size & 2 bathrooms & 3 toilets was very useful.

Although it slept 5 (7if you include the sofa bed) there was only seating for 4 around dining table. Only comfy seats in living area was the sofa bed so either had to sit on floor or on dining chairs so not that conducive for socialising in the evenings.

Cosy house in a great location for the NEC

Lovely cosy house with everything we needed for a great weekend in Birmingham. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, in fact we had to turn the heating down! The kitchen was well equipped including complimentary tea and coffee. All the beds were very comfy and the house was clean and tidy. The house was very well located for the NEC and we had a nice meal at the little owl pub just a short drive away. Parking was good, with an allocated parking space to the rear of the house, and ample on street parking to the front. The area was very quiet and felt safe. Communication with the owner was very good, she was friendly and easy to contact if necessary.

The furnishing in the lounge especially is a little sparse. The addition of a comfy sofa, a lamp and a couple of side tables would have made evenings a lot more relaxing.

Only a small settee in the living room sat 2 comfortably, as the house is geared to 5, people would have to sit on dining chairs of which there are only 4. Not an issue in the summer as would mostly be in the garden.

We had a kickboxing tournament at north Solihull sports centre so needed a place for a few days it was much closer than any hotel and for our family more cost effective Location was good and near to resort world a place that had great choice of restaurants, the property was lovely and parking for the car
