About this villa rental

Our Cave House follows the strict Health First protocols to ensure a safe stay.
Blue Sky villa is located in the middle of the traditional village of OIA, only 2 minutes away from the main path, where cafes, restaurants and shops are placed. Also it takes 7 minutes walking distance to reach the main square where you can find the taxi and bus terminal.
The place is perched on the cliff, built in a traditional way and combines the old architecture of the Cycladic villages with all the modern conveniences in a very private and secluded area.
The cave house has a bedroom with a double bed ,a living room with 2 sofa beds ,a private fully equipped kitchen ,a private bathroom with shower and a private veranda with perfect view to the sea ,the volcano ,the caldera and the traditional village of Oia.
Facilities: Fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, veranda equipped with patio furniture and Jacuzzi.
Services: Bath towels and sheets change every third day, daily maid service (April to October) rest of the year, every 3rd day; porter service included from April to October with min stay 3 nights (extra charge in low season), car or bike rental on request, booking local island tours, transfers on request

Jackie’s house is amazing - so roomy and very clean! Jackie and Nico assisted with everything we needed. We are 70+ so the stairs were a good workout - but don’t worry about the steep stairs - there are plenty of manageable alternative routes. Thanks for everything Nico and Jackie!

It was a wonderful place to stay for four days. Located at the foot of one of the famous blue-domed churches, it makes for some great pictures. My daughter and I had a great time.

Our stay at this property was like a dream. The views of the Aegean Sea were just incredible. My husband and I hardly wanted to leave the house because it was so beautiful there. But when we did leave, we could walk right up the stairs to wonderful restaurants and shops. Two times we walked down to the water for a swim and amazing dinner on the water (it's worth the 20-minute walk!!). Also, Jackie the property manager made our stay even better by arranging transportation as needed and other activities. We were well taken care of!!! I hope to be able to return to this fabulous place some day.

The Blue Sky Cave house was an exceptional property that you must experience while staying in Santorini. The Cave property has a lot of character and beautiful views. The steps leading to the property was a bit much but once you see the beautiful views you adapt to the steps. We wanted to go to a winery so Jackie arranged a half day wine tour that included three wineries. Thanks to her staff, our visit to the wineries were outstanding.

This was a fantastic stay! The location overlooks the water and the property is much larger than it appears. Two private balconies and a small pool (that my 5 year old spent hours in). You are situated right beneath the famous blue domes - great spot to come down to out of the crowds. The steps down are very steep (welcome to Santorini!) but we managed them daily with our 8 month old baby and 5 year old :) Great spot for families as the adults can hang out on the patios after kids are in bed. Convenient to walk to all the restaurants of Oia. Jackie was a wonderful and responsive host and arranged all of our transfers and a breakfast for us. We would stay again! Thank you!

This was our first visit to Santorini and everything was absolutely perfect. No exaggeration here. Jackie met us late in the evening without any complaint as our flight was slightly delayed. The cave house was clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this VRBO. I would caution to anyone visiting Santorini for the first time to watch your step. You will be so amazed by the beauty surrounding you that the beautifully worn stone steps will cause a few stumbles if you are not diligent. As other reviewers have noted, this is a VERY popular spot for instagramers, however they always let us pass when we politely told them we just wanted to get back to our room. No worries there, just speak up. There is also an alternative path up to the main area that is less crowded and less steep, but a bit longer.

I highly recommend booking this! Three of us stayed here for three nights. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the main streets of Oia yet quiet and private. Our host, Jackie, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, with white glove concierge-type service. She organized every taxi, restaurant booking, and activity including detailed recommendations. The views from the hot tub were unbeatable! I would not stay anywhere else when I return.

Jackie made our time in Oia incredible. She set up our transportation and met us at the property to review everything. The location is ideal and right next the famous 3 blue domes and you can get the most incredible photos near. Jackie helped set up dinner reservations and excursions for us while we were there as well. Place was clean and much larger than I imagined. The jacuzzi was also super nice to have. Highly recommend this place.

Jackie was so helpful in arranging transportation and giving us a rundown of Santorini! She also offered to help make any reservations or help with accommodations if we needed! Her place was spotless, roomy, and had some of the best views of Santorini. It was conveniently located and we walked everywhere with no trouble. Would definitely stay here again!

This property has amazing views on the Caldera side of the island but they come with a price. Access to the property comes with many stairs and you should be in good shape due to the fact that stairs are cobblestone and can be tricky to maneuver. Also, photographers LOVE this location near a famous blue domed church and crowds often line the access point to the property. Professional photographers have no problem coming on the property to get the perfect picture. Considering those things, the property is clean and the views are amazing. Property manager handles all your needs including transportation to and from the property, luggage is carried up and down for your convenience. Close to many restaurants but plan ahead and make reservations at your favorites. Streets of Oia are always crowded, even in low season, due to the many cruise ships that visit for the day. Definitely recommend a trip on the water while you are there!

You really can’t beat this view! You can sit and eat at the table watching the ocean or take a few steps up to the top balcony and lunge on the beanbag chairs. The pool was the perfect temperature to enjoy during the day and at night (we visited late August). Jackie was a great host, she arranged transfers for us and gave us a small tour and introduction to the island and neighborhood! It is very close to one of the main attractions in Oia and walkable to lots of beautiful places. The space was clean and uniquely decorated. Highly recommend!

The pictures do not even do this place justice in terms of its amazing location! You are right on top of the most photographed Santorini blue domes churches ( the churches of Agios Spiridonas (Saint Spyridon) and Anastaseos (the Church of the Resurrection). If you want that Instagram pic without waiting in the long line, this is the spot! Your breathtaking view of the caldera includes Ammoudi Bay. Speaking of, it is walkable to the bay, and of course all of the restaurants/bars Oia has to offer. We did sleep four, but there’s only one bathroom. It’s a typical Greek bathroom (handheld shower nozzle and no flushing toilet paper) and low ceilings, but everything is very clean. Jackie is so nice! She had a colleague meet us to carry our heavy luggage down the stairs to the VRBO. There are a good number of stairs to get there! It’s worth it for the view, but just be aware. Jackie also helped us with private transportation when we needed it and when we asked for a few more fans to keep us cool, she brought them that day :) overall, you can’t get a better value for the location.

The Cave House is in the perfect location and walking distance to everything in Oia. We loved coming back from the busy/touristy streets to relax on the secluded patio. Jackie was amazing and helped us with any request we had. Loved our stay!

The location is absolutely perfect, though it is quite a hike to get to. Jackie was responsive and quick to fix anything that came up while we were there. The house got a bit hot without AC, but the fans and dehumidifier definitely helped. Just know that there is no AC if that is what you are looking for. It was a unique and wonderful stay and Jackie is a great host!

This was a perfect getaway and everything we wanted. Steps from the square, restaurants, shops with a gorgeous view. Jacqui was excellent with us, by meeting us and guiding us to the location and providing some helpful touring tips. The only thing was a few stairs were steep but take it slow and you'll be fine.
