I would move in if I could!

I love this flat. Small but perfectly proportioned, a great use of space and very comfortable. The treat on arrival was also welcomed. I was concerned about the toilet being on a different floor to the bedroom but my pelvic floor needed the exercise! I stayed for a gig at the fire station and it was an excellent location.

Alexa didn't always respond as expected. I asked for the heating off and she played Planet Earth by Duran Duran! I don't mind, I am an eighties kid at heart!

Like a home from home. It was cosy, had all mod-cons, 5min walk from station. Personal touches, like prosecco & chocolates were there on arrival & teabags/coffee & pint of milk in fridge.

The only thing i could possibly say was that there was only half a roll of toilet paper. But Tesco is only a few mins walk. :)

The cute studio appt the cupboard is a truly class find in the centre of Carlisle. Easily accessed and 2 minutes from train station The property is well furnished with all the things you would expect It has a Cracking shower A perfect bolt hole would definitely recommend it

We have stayed a couple of times now and it's our first choice if available

Wasn't as clean as has been previously, was bits on floor in living room like hadnt been hoovered and flooring is starting to come up outside shower room .

Perfect little get away

The most perfect stay we have had, we are local to carlisle and just wanted a little date night. What an absolute gem the cupboard is! We will 1000% be back. Lovely place, lovely stay, lovely host. The perfect place.

Cosy stay in the middle of town

It's a super cosy apartment in the nicest part of town, in the very centre, yet very quiet. It has everything you need, all machines are well functioning. Check-in was easy with a key code.

One weak point of the apartment is its humidity and lack of aeration, as the bedroom window upstairs is the only one that can be opened a little bit. The other weak point is the bed. The mattress is very soft and uneven, and the bed linen felt like polyester on the skin. Nevertheless, for a short stay, it's lovely.

Fantastic location and property arrangement really good for the size, perfect for couples.

We checked in at 2 and wandered through the place (doesnt take long as its super cosy), and found that it hadn't been cleaned, went to message the owner and seen a message asking if we could check in at 3, phew, we didn't have to make an awkward call. Came back at 3.30ish, downstairs had been cleaned (in a hurry, but sufficient enough). However, they hadn't changed the bedding, there was hairs and stains from the previous guests. Absolutely, not acceptable.

Comfortable, central, interesting place to stay, would recommend.

We really enjoyed staying here. The property was very clean, comfortable and well equipped, everything in really good order. It is also a little bit quirky which was good. Comfortable beds and a great shower - fantastic water pressure! It is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from all the places we wanted to be. Close to shops and restaurants (M&S food hall and Tesco Express just round the corner. Although central, it was also quiet. If you find going downstairs difficult, this might not be the place for you but apart from that would recommend.

Cosy living in the heart of Carlisle.

We've stayed in The Cupboard before and loved staying there again. This delightful room looks out on St Curthbert Church, has a pub next door (The Sportman Inn), and is just off the Carlisle Square. There are stairs up to the bedroom loft (which has a sloping ceiling), but the kitchen, bathroom and lounge room are all on the ground floor. This cosy unit comes with a well appointed kitchen, a washing/drying machine, good wifi, plenty of hot water and a large comfortable bed. There's a paid public carpark right next door for 11GBP per day - we parked the car right in front of the kitchen window. We always love staying in The Cupboard.

Authentic cottage in a central location.

A very unique place, well thought out in a compact cottage, lots of nice decorative touches, bathroom very functional with good water pressure, kitchen well stocked with lots of utensils. Slept really well as the immediate area is quiet at night. Heads lane car park adjacent to the building.

The bedroom is really small with a low sloping ceiling. I did sleep well as it felt cosy and safe.

Perfect little gem in a great location

A lovely little apartment with everything you need and more! Beautiful views , great location. We went to watch a gig at the old fire station, which was a 6 minute walk from the cupboard, the train station is only 7 minutes away. There's an M&S food hall 1 minute away, a pub next door and a cafe across the path. We got some tapas and bucks fizz and sat on the wall outside the apartment listening to the band we were going to see, sat in the sun overlooking st Cuthbert's. We can't wait to come back! Cute, compact gem of a property in the heart of Carlisle!

It was spotlessly clean and central to town and very good value for money. We only stayed 1 night and didn’t use the kitchen but it was surprisingly spacious and had everything you would need. Joe left a bottle of milk, a little bottle of fizz and some chocolates which was lovely. The property was really nicely decorated and the bed was really comfy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Unique and central mini-cottage with lovely views

Central location near Cathedral quarter - just by M&S Food too! Overlooks St Cuthbert's Church and churchyard. Small and cosy - and quite unique.

Because it's so central there are sometimes people around when the pubs close - but no real nuisance - just keep the curtains and blinds closed - there is a lockable gate.
