Excellent location, Nice cottage. Shame about the lack of water pressure downstairs

Excellent location. Nice cottage. Quiet although in the centre. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The living/dining/kitchen area was good. The host was good.

The water pressure was low which meant that the downstairs toilet did not flush property and the shower pressure wasn't the best. The ensuite off the main bedroom was the only working toilet. This is the reason for downgrading the facilities and value for money. The host, on becoming aware, planned to fix the issue. The cottage would benefit from some upkeep eg the stair carpet was very worn, one of the kitchen cabinet doors needed rehanging..

A good place to stay if walking the Wall

Excellent location and well priced. We particularly liked the welcome food pack - many thanks. We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our Hadrian's Wall walk and it worked really well!

Excellent weekend stay!

The property was in an excellent location, easy access to amazing pubs, shops, bars , very comfortable, clean and tidy although hall stairs could do with being replaced .

No outside sitting area which was only thing that let it down and would have been great to park outside house but local parking a stone throw away

Amazing property in a great location.

This property stood up to its name, a cute Victorian House. Had everything we needed. It was warm and inviting and our host left us a bottle of Rose and choc chip cookies which was a lovely surprise. Great location right near the heart of town, and quiet too.

Like I said good location and aesthetically pleasing

Good location perfect for the weekend to visit my son at university. Comfy beds ,decor pleasing

Stairs a little steep (but know that can’t be changed) but uncomfortable to walk on , need underlay under neath carpet. Bedroom with on suit need attention to the flooring , as floor boards are definitely broken under flooring aesthetic. Apart from that good.

I loved everything about our stay there's nothing I would change, they've have thought of everything, fresh milk in the fridge. Everything was clean and fresh. Communication with host was promp every time. Key was in a safe box and required a pin apon arrival. Thanks for our stay Joe we will definitely stay again. Charlotte and James.

Amazing and exactly what we needed. Amazing location, lovely host and great inside.

We loved the location, so close to everything. Parking a 2 minute walk away so felt good knowing my car was close. The house had everything you would need in it. Very quiet too even with a couple of pubs over the road, windows seemed to block out 90% of the noise. Arrived to Prosecco and chocolate too which was a lovely touch. Honestly can’t fault anything at all we loved it.

Exactly what we needed for our mini break.

The property was really well located to the old town and easy to reach from the motorway. We were given really clear instructions from the host with regards to local parking options and access. The property is well laid out with everything you could possibly need for your stay, the was even a surprise welcome gift on arrival.

Great little quaint place, right in town.

The owner was excellent with communication right from the point of booking. Basics were available on arrival. The location in town was first class & the little house was lovely & nicely presented. It was high tec too, but we didn't make use of it on our short stay.

Nothing in the property: parking isn't available outside, but there are car parks close by, we didn't find that a particular problem, but some might.
