Modern Spacious House - Sleeps 16, Free Parking, Sun Terrace

Has massive potential - big great living space and lots of big bedrooms - nice bathroom - bifold doors and outdoor furniture. Great big tvs downstairs. Bathrooms nice and clean. Parking for 3 cars. Nice patio and balcony and owners responsive with queries. Oven, microwave, slow cooker, toaster and airfryer / didn’t use them all but good they were there. Towels provided. Downstairs better than upstairs.

The house didn’t meet our expectations. Unfortunately, it did not feel clean or well maintained, and several essentials were missing or broken. Kitchen: Dishwasher didn’t work, fridge/freezer had missing shelves and needed defrosting, under-equipped (no wine glasses, very few pans/utensils) — not suitable for a house advertised for 16. Dining table only seats 8. We had to re clean all crockery and pans before we used them. Bedrooms: Some were fine, but others had stained carpets, cigarette burns in carpet and even on beds, broken doors, and the missing and taped-on (hazard tape) to the window blinds in the velux windows were unacceptable and made 2 bedrooms unusable. The downstairs bedroom smelled of smoke and noisy and actually felt loved in - Pillows lumpy and were uncomfortable. And the back double had a broken door which looked liked it had been forced open, it didn’t shut to give privacy at all and just looked terrible. • Bathrooms: Spacious, but the bath had cigarette burns in it , and fittings were tired - main bathroom needs new light cord. General: Garden space is nice but tired. WiFi weak. House overall felt more like it might have been used as a party pad more times than not. Overall it didn’t feel clean apart from bathrooms We appreciated the owners responding quickly when contacted about the boiler not working and the blinds and WiFi - also appreciated the extra hour for checkout which we used to wash up, but overall the property was not as advertised. With better cleaning, proper maintenance, and more kitchen equipment, this could be a fantastic house. Sadly, in its current state, it was disappointing. Have added some pictures - I would like to add more to show some of the good too but booking.com only allows 4

Spacious, roof terrace is wicked for a tea in the morning or a relaxing drink in the evening. We rented for our wedding a the space was amazing to get ready, and to get our initial wedding shots.

Needs a bit of TLC around the house where thinks were broke like the odd skirting board. The plumbing in the loft bathroom didn’t work properly so we had problems flushing the toilet. The boiler was turned off and we had to work out how to turn it on. We were disappointed that the bbq was unusable due to not being cleaned from the last guests. The dishwasher didn’t work properly as it only rinsed regardless of the setting. Less lumpy pillows would have helped.

The house itself is very welcoming. Impressive architectural design. Very roomy and a lot of space. Large kitchen which we all really like. The wifi is excellent and a great size smart TV. Having 4 toilets and 3 showers is very convenient. We cleaned and kept the place tidy. Segregated the refuse and recycling waste. I even personally cleaned the grill. We enjoyed our stay. The kids wanted to stay in the house forever and wished that they live in this kind of house. They all wrote in the Guest book comment.

There are some things inside each small cupboard in the 2 attic rooms. Things like a used towel, bag with something in it. The window in the bedroom downstairs can't be opened therefore no ventilation that is why we took the liberty to take the fan from one of the bedroom upstairs. Also the other door in this said bedroom has not much privacy from the kitchen's view due to clear glass.

Top floor needs modernising- bathroom really dilapidated…shower hanging off wall, old and tired looking.not enough crockery and cutlery for 14 people to eat at the same time. security gates good but keypad worked erratically. A guest book would be a great idea - explaining where the inside switch for the electric gate is, how to work the oven etc.

Instructions given so clear to us what to do to get into the property

Give us some more instructions on the tech savvy items. We could not get the heating on or the hot water was not on either.
