Very good value for money location great for onwards travel from East Midlands Airport

Would stay again

Perfect for travelling to East Midlands airport. You can leave your car parked on high street and get airport bus, there is a bus stop a couple of minutes down the road. Easy access instructions. It’s a very big property with multiple rooms/floors. It was quiet at night and we slept fine. Towels were provided which was very handy. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a cost effective stop before an early morning flight.

The bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke, not the owners fault but I think some people had been smoking in there previously which is a shame.

Good value but won’t use this accommodation again.

Easy access to East Midlands airport. Clean rooms and communal areas.

People were walking about on the landing until 2am which was disturbing to say the least. The front door was left on the latch twice that we know of giving access to anyone. Not very secure at all

A fab place to stay for Downlaod FEstival

Great kitchen facilities and large bathrooms

The wifi passwords could do with being typed out as it takes a few tries to get the correct password. Also some of the lock to the rooms can be a bit fiddly.

Dirty: mold, dirty laundry, dead bugs (see pictures)

The place has potential but I had to partially clean it myself before it was liveable. At least make it clean and have the fire exit unblocked! The house is big but when its fully booked you will have a bad time. If clean and fixed then this would be nice for 6-8 people max (allthough there is only place to sit in the kitchen for max 5 persons)

So many things are wrong here: Unresponsive host Dirty laundry in washing maschine which smelled really bad (mold?) Dead bugs everywhere Stains on the walls Sticky floor (spilled coke?) Shower coming loose from the wall Bath falling apart Sink in bathroom is broken (water wont flush) Fire exit blocked

Overall fine but a bit annoying

Our room and the shared bathroom was clean, and a lot of effort had clearly been made in installing all the fire doors.

The wifi password on the huge printed sign in the hallway was wrong, and there is no phone reception in the building so it was impossible to ring Amy and Damien to get more info. I did find the correct wifi password on the router on the end, but it was annoying, especially when coupled with about 5 signs saying 'remove your shoes', which isn't very welcoming - care goes both ways. I also think some UHT milks would have been a nice touch to tip the place into 'hotel' more than 'student lodgings', which it currently basically is.

Central location and a short walk to Donington circuit.

No parking and awareness that despite being told that there's plenty of on street parking, this is not true during Download festival as they close all on street parking in the village for the duration.

It's a good location for the festival. But a lot of money!

It is a prime location for Download Festival. Only 30 minutes walk. There is also a pub nearby, also the airport, so you have to put up with the sound of planes, but that didn't bother us.

I understand that they hoke up the prices for Download, but I paid a LOT of money for two nights. And a shared bathroom. More than I could really justify. My room was fine, but the bed was a little uncomfortable. A bit springy. The sheets looked a little old and some permanent stains which happens with use, but they were clean, I believe. My TV remote was missing.

It is absolutely fine…… basic but clean

Bathroom is on the first floor, we stayed on ground floor. Tv plug wouldn’t reach socket so had to take it off wall to plug it in! Bit more like a hostel ……. No head boards,

Good place to lay your head, just don’t expect any extras

The room was comfortable Access to the local pubs for a bite to eat once arrived was easy The hosts whilst remote (not present) were contactable and responsive

My understanding was that it was a bed and breakfast but following a message with the owner it prov d to be a room only. The Wi-Fi didn’t work Parking was on the street, no off road parking.
