Offers more then expected

We chose this hotel as it is literally on Stelvio Pass and we wanted to go for a great drive before the crowd. However it offered way more then we expected. We received very warm welcome at Hotel Bella Vista, where you should go for check-in. The view from the mountain facing room is really breathtaking. Due to the large windows you can feel like you are resting the middle of the nature. Our room was clean and super spacious. The breakfast was also very tasty with great variety and the staff was super friendly.

The hotel feels unfinished and potentially it really is. I understand and value the industrial building style but it felt weird that walls are not painted nor covered. You will get used to it though. Also it can feel a bit abandoned and dark when you arrive during the night and the neighbours did not arrive yet. Still I would truly recommend this hotel!

Check in is in main hotel 1 km further down the road it is not that far, but after a long ride not very pleasant. However the nice staff and beautiful stay make you instantly forget it.

excellent place. Bed was comfy and shower was great. They picked me up and took me to their parent hotel for dinner (no restruant on site) which was spectacular. Breakfast in the morning was good.

really big modern clean rooms we a wonderful breakfast in a superb location if you want to cycle the stelvio, check in is at another hotel 1km away that has a wonderful pool and outdoor play activities for kids which we had full access to including the most beautiful pool!

Great place to stay and rest before a climb to Stelvio.

Despite our late arrival, most pleasant stuff made for us a fast dinner, and the manager of hotel personally escorted us to Ortles. The best thing was that the manager, when heard what was our motorcycle trip plan, brought a map and gave us advices about routes through 6 nearby passes which was absolutely great and made our trip so special as it was. So for the accommodation and for the hotel stuff only the strongest recommendations. And yes, the breakfast with the mountain view was magnificent.

I arrived too late for the checking so in fact I stayed in the Bella Vista Hotel nearby and it was an amazing experience! People were so kind, service was excellence and location amazing.

I would go there again but would choose the main hotel instead because it has more facilities.

The valley was beautiful where the hotel was situated. Could have a lovely meal at the main hotel in the evening. The breakfast buffet was superb.

Pity the the wellness area wasn't available. The check in wasn't explained by booking.

Il posto è spettacolare, abbiamo mangiato da Dio nel ristorante del hotel Bella Vista.

mancano gli spogliatoi quando si usufruisce della spa della struttura del Hotel bella vista, bisognerebbe rivedere un po’ l’organizzazione in tal senso in quanto la sala relax è affianco alla sala dei bambini (rumorosissima) e la piscina/sauna non sono ben collegate

We komen zeker terug!

B&B Ortles viel qua locatie en uitstraling tegen en blijkt een reservelocatie van Hotel Bella Vista te zijn. (weinig "ort"' / veel "less" ;-). Ondanks dat links naast HBV een veelbelovende uitbreiding van dit hotel gebouwd werd, kregen we een updrade naar dit hotel. Van de verbouwing hebben we geen last gehad, de ruime kamers waren prima met een moderne badkamer en een loungebank in een aparte kamer naast de slaapkamer aan de achterkant van het hotel. Het bed was schoon en royaal genoeg voor 2 personen, met een kledingkast en bureau. Achter het hotel ligt een natuurgebied waar 's nachts burlende en bronsige edelherten (het was herfst) en wilde zwijnen hun gang kunnen gaan, met een adembenemend uitzicht op de Passo dello Stelvio. Als uitvalsbasis voor ons als motorrijders was/is dit een walhalla met 48 haarspeldbochten. Het "oude"hotel is duidelijk verouderd en de maquette liet de uitbreidingsplannen, in een ingetogen moderne stijl met houtelementen, links naar het hotel duidelijk zien. Het ontbijt en diner waren prima voor een redelijke prijs, met aandacht voor traditionele gerechten, lokale wijnen en ingredienten. De country eetzaal was smaakvol ingericht met natuurlijke materialen, hoge plafonds en natuurlijk... een prachtig uitzicht op de Stelvio van +2.700 meter met besneeuwde bergtoppen! We hebben genoten en verheugen ons op een wederzien in het vernieuwde hotel.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit allen Annehmlichkeiten.

Kostenloses Upgrade ins dazugehörige Bellavista Hotel. Toller Ausblick von der Terrasse, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, vielfältiges Frühstück, rundum alles Perfekt.

Baustelle nebenan, ist aber im Frühjahr 2026 abgeschlossen.

Prima overnachting!

Basic hotel maar prima om te overnachten. Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Het hotel is onderdeel van Bella Vista een klein eindje bergopwaarts. Daar twee avonden gegeten waarbij ik werd opgehaald en teruggebracht. Hoefde ik niet de berg op te fietsen. Prima gegeten overigens. Bedden zijn prima. Ontbijt is goed en uitgebreid. Mijn fiets kon binnen staan in de skiruimte.

alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, komme wieder!

Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist nicht riesig, aber die Zutaten sind alle sehr gut (frischer Südtiroler Schinken, sehr guter Joghurt, sehr guter Kaffee/Cappuccino, Orangensaft zum Selbstpressen, sehr gute Mini-Croissants). Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet, tolles Bad! Die Lage unterhalb vom Dorf Trafoi ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für die Biketour aufs Stilfser Joch...

Der Wellnessbereich ist wirklich sehr schön, gehört aber für einen sehr guten Eindruck an einigen Stellen etwas instandgesetzt... Und der Whirlpool ist leider nicht in Betrieb... (nur auf Nachfrage) Öffnungszeiten bis 21:00 Uhr sind leider etwas kurz, bis 22:00 Uhr wäre toll.
