Dramatic location well served by the Hotel

Location within the Stelvio Pass was dramatic, check in/out no problem, staff attentive friendly and helpful, room basic with old world charm but more than adequate for one night touring. Restaurant was a surprise with 4 course evening meal included and the food was excellent, as was breakfast. Large forecourt, free parking with magnificent views.

Authentic feeling travellers' inn.

Homely atmosphere, very clean, loved the half-board dinner option. I was expecting a spartan mountain chalet but it was full of character... and a few interesting characters.

The breakfast coffee was a little unimpressive.

Perfect stop on the Stelvio.

This hotel had the perfect vibe for the Stelvio pass. Away from the overcrowded feel at the very top- there was some peace but opportunity to watch the bikes & cars going up & down. Loved the wood surrounds in the bar and dining area. Comfortable rooms and nice walking nearby with more great views. We appreciated our stay here and meals.

The Stelvio pass is scary for a novice- but so glad to have done it

Charming hotel in a stunning location. Staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The proximity to the summit of Stelvio was perfect. Pop up or down in 15mins and beat all the traffic!

Wonderful!

We loved this hotel. Our room was fantastic - newly renovated with an amazing view of the road going up to Stelvio Pass. The food was great and the hotel had a great atmosphere. You can follow a walking track from the hotel with more spectacular views (and you will see marmots). Thoroughly recommend a stay in this hotel.

Great location for the Stelvio pass. Half board was great food and excellent experience. The pool was a bonus. Love the no TV policy who needs one when you are surrounded by great views.

2nd visit for us - its a charming place with lovely staff and great food!

Superb location near the top of Stelvio Pass, views from the hotel are breathtaking. This is our 2nd visit so that should tell you a lot. Lovely staff - our German is poor and they tried really hard to help us during our short visit. Portions at dinner are HUGE! Still thinking about the Cordon Blu today.

Restaurant can be a little cold at night so best dress for the warm!

I was a bit mislead and thought the hotel was in Trafoi. But it was at 2188 masl in curve 22, so I had another 8,7 km of uphill to do on my bicycle.... And maybe they should invest in double glasing windows. 😀

Fabulous location, with gorgeous views, comfy rooms, great hiking trails and country local food.

The breakfast was a buffet and very generous and they also offered us scrambled eggs. It was nice to have dinner there with wine and it was very good and relaxing. The location was awesome as it was just after the Stelvio pass and we were tired. The trails were behind the hotel for walking and the views were marvelous. The height made it cool which was a nice relief.

Unfortunately the language barrier was a bit tough, but we managed as they did have other staff that understood.

24 hours at Stelvio.

The location is excellent. Half way up the Stelvio Pass. the views and walks around the hotel are quite simply stunning. The view of the top of the pass from our bedroom window was perfect. We made use of the swimming pool which was lovely. Our room, 108, was excellent. modern and fresh, spacious with an excellent modern shower in the bathroom. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was extremely good.

Great hotel with great staff and great food menu

Located on the Stelvio Pass and with spectacular views of the valley and mountains it’s perfect for a relaxing stay during a long road trip. The hotel is decorated exactly how you’d expect an alpine chalet style hotel to be, with even a stuffed marmot in the entrance hall.

I really enjoyed the location with access to hiking and took some great photos within a short walking distance of the Stelvio Pass road. The room was quiet and had a nice view out the back.

Total relaxation!

The location is perfect. It was totaly quiet. The staff was friendly, they were always there when in need of help. All my problems and question were solved. The bed was comfy, the room was simple but absolutely clean. The food was superb! I tried the menu and the à la carte also. Both were ‘fantastico’! 110% for coming back when I am in the area. This is sure!

The wifi and the cellular was weak. This is NOT a problem about the hotel, they did everything. You can find spots to catch the signal, mostly outside. Anyway when you are on a place like this who cares about the internet? Put away your phone and relax! :)
