The location was great , the food was good the atmosphere was decent

It states it’s a hostel but in-fact it’s a pub with rooms above ,lots of people arrive there to drink and socialise so if loud noises and lots of people ain’t your thing don’t bother , it’s of poor service the hostel but the bar is great you can order food there, someone was eating and on the phone constantly in the room until 12am at night and no one was there to report it to, also other rooms next to ours where really loud I think it was a staff room I guess maybe it’s because I stayed there for 5 days on a work trip I’m trying to be considerate it could just be for pleasure not business it’s a nice place but if your stopping off for work reasons it’s not ideal at night loads of people from the town especially in the young 20’s arrive there looking for a good time it’s abit of a youth club at night.

Great but not excellent

Great location, right in town. Great view from the windows.

Pillows definitely needed replacing as they are flat, window in the bathroom didn’t close so it was cold (Thankful for the door to keep some of that cold out of the bedroom). Lots of stairs but we were on the top floor. Wouldn’t be great location if your staying out late and you can’t do a few steps or are a wheelchair user

Not worth the star rating and the price

I liked the view. The bar downstairs is lovely however it needs cleaning as well.

The bedding is not clean it has marks and lint all over the pillows and duvet covers and is not worth the price and the star rating. The toilets/ bathrooms are not clean and are in terrible condition for the price they charge. If you want a cheap place to stay this is the place for you but not worth the price and the stay.

Perfect Location and ideal for a break by the sea!

The location is excellent with the beach just below as well as all local amenities and attractions surrounding the hostel. The hostel bar is also one of the best bars in the town with great views and atmosphere.

The room and bathroom was slightly cramped. Also, parking is not readily available, I was lucky to get a spot next to the hostel to check in but then had to find a long stay carpark, both of which I had to pay for. To add, I didn't realise the hostel was a hostel as it wasn't clearly sign posted.

Good location but loud music and people talking loudly till late in the night ruined the experience

The location was really nice and the beds were clean and comfy.

There was loud music at the bar right outside the room window that went on for well past midnight. Even after the music stopped, we could hear people talking loudly outside the room and in the corridors, opening and closing doors constantly, and going up and down the stairs till about 2 am. The toilet seat was broken as well in the room that we stayed in (room 1).

DONT BOOK HERE. Zero Hospitality. Worst experience ever

We booked a stay for 2nights and we weren’t allowed to check- in We drove for 6hours to get there but had to sleep in the car all night. The location wasn’t where it shows on the Google maps. The pictures were deceiving. The staff was still available and despite of doing a web- check in, they didn’t let us in. We tried to contact the property prior to reaching, but no one answered. We suggest booking.com to remove this property from suggestions

The dorm rooms were cramped with a tiny bathroom. Windows did not open fully, it was hot & stuffy. Nil facilities, no communal area to sit other than in the very noisy bar & restaurant attached to the backpackers, where one was expected to purchase food & drink. Tap water for drinking was only available from the bathroom tap.

The bathrooms could be cleaner water was also cold. The breakfast buffet could have been better there was nothing there. There could also be a place to hold you luggage more spa e is needed. To much noise from fown stairs.

Lovely stay, great hostel, tainted by one employee

Great location, good value, clean

There was one employee who was very rude, he seemed annoyed that we were trying to check in. One of us left a jacket in the room by accident and asked to retrieve it. He said to wait 15 minutes and walked off. He then returned much later and ignored us. We asked if we could get the jacket yet and he said we’d have to wait until 2pm… it was 11 am and we had checked out because we needed to leave!? This was just one instance of many over the weekend stay.

Relaxed vibe

Loved the private room. The room itself had a great view of one of the bays with all necessary amenities (towels, hairdryer, coffee,...). Perfect for a relaxing night after a long day.
