Poor hygiene with mold and hair throughout the property.

Very bad condition – unhygienic and unsafe Our stay at Villa Simona Mavrovo was extremely disappointing. The villa was in very poor hygienic condition. There was visible mold in the bathroom, including around the bathtub and floor, and mold next to the refrigerator. We also found hair in the bathroom and, even worse, hair in the bed, which is completely unacceptable. Because of these conditions, we felt uncomfortable the entire stay. We were sick most of the time and felt dizzy, which we strongly believe was caused by the mold and lack of cleanliness. We do NOT recommend this villa to anyone, especially families or people sensitive to MOLD. Very bad experience overall, knowing this was the Fourth time we were staying at Villa Simona, we expected something better than this.

Great restaurant nearby. Lots of issues need resolving.

The owner seemed nice - he got someone to let me in really quickly. The two women that let me in were really nice and helpful. The place was easy to find. There is a very good restaurant 5 mins away (professerot). The balcony is very big and has good views. Wifi was good.

The bedding smelt of aftershave from a previous person or maybe it's a strange washing powder?! The bed was very short - 5.5 ft maximum. The swing seat on the terrace fell over when I sat on it! The staircase banister is loose. The curtains don't close properly. There was only cold water in the shower on the evening! The shower has a glass wall so that everyone in the living space can see you shower!

Great lake side apparment, for a home away from home experience.

Julia the hostess was super nice and helpful. She assisted us with laundry, answered our many questions about the house and the area, and greeted us with some traditionally cooked turkish coffee . The place was perfect for our needs - not just a room but a home with a living room, a private balcony, and a kitchen to cook in. It was such a great experience to finally cook for ourselves with local ingredients instead of eating out again. The location was also good, close to the lake and a nice little church, and not far from a great restaurant and a grocery store.

Some of the bathroom facilities were not in the best condition, but nothing too bad. The bed was okay but no super comfy.

Mavrovo is a village of tranquility

Very nice, tastefully furnished, comfortable, modern rooms. The host welcomed us kindly, made us coffee and gave us information about the area.

Everything was fine. Some parts of the building are not finished yet, but this is not really disturbing.

A hiking paradise

The property was just by the Mavrovo lake, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town. The lady of the house was extremely nice and helpful.

Very spacious room, excellent massage chair in the room and enormous terrace.

Very nice room and hosts!

Beautiful balcony with a view. Nice and big room with comfortable couches and massage chair!

From the pictures we expected a room with a kitchen, but did not get it, so that is a bit unclear. Also, there is a window between the shower and living room instead of a wall or not see-through window.

Not living up to the expectations

Location is beautiful. Parking in front of the house was nice. The house has everything you need and is quite spacious.

The place had a super bad smell when we arrived. The toilet had a "cleaned-seal" but there were still pieces of the last person that used it. The terrace had a big birds nest, which is nice of course, but the seats were covered in bird poo. We had to clean them before sitting down

Exceptional

The room and terrace were very comfortable. The massage chair in the room was the cherry on the cake. However, the best thing about this villa is the complex's restaurant - they serve the tastiest dishes we have tried during our tour around Noth Macedonia. We even regretted that we did not stay longer to try all the delicious dishes on the menu!

The heating system was on during the night so it was very hot in the room and we could not switch off the heating or open the terrace door as stray cats were trying to come.

Like every "highly-recommended" places, Vila Simona is also in a good location, is very clean and comfortable and people are very kind. But having a restaurant with really delicious meals next to this place is the biggest plus because you may have problems to find somewhere to eat in Mavrovo.

Good stay

It was warm, big balcony, cozy bed and a nice view. The owners were great

The toilet, there was an open glass door instead of a normal door, it was very uncomfortable and there was no kitchen.

We were really satisfied by room and staff. Room is well organized and clean, the bed and sofa were comfortable. Fast internet and big TV. The full body chair massager was big plus and we didn't expect that in our room will be one.

Beautiful Location

The location was amazing and beautiful. The balcony was private and enormous. The room was very spatious. Great location for lots of activities! The price was excellent.

They were doing improvements that made noise which probably would not affect future guests. The bathroom was see through and there wasn't a set shower cabin. And no fan or ventilation. There was a strong perfume to the room and sheets that we were a bit allergic to. The window and door would benefit from screens to stop mosquitos.
