Amazing deal for a relaxing stay in the mountains with everything you may need at your disposal and a really fair price.

What can I say about this property. Imagine being at a house in the middle of nowhere, you can only hear the sounds of nature and have the most relaxing time ever. Really clean, WiFi, fireplace and a lot of space to spend a weekend or even a whole week. The best part of all… the host, mr Slave and his wife are two amazing people, friendly and were available for everything we needed. They even invited us to enjoy some rakija, and traditional Balkan treats. You don’t even need a big car or an suv because mr Slave has a Land Rover to travel you up and down as many times as you may need. Everytime we called him he arrived in 20 minutes tops. So in conclusion, you only need some vacation days and a car and you are good to go.

Away from it all. Total relaxation

We loved this place. One of the highlights of our trip around Macedonia. The owner, Slave and his wife met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The view is amazing. A totally relaxing place, away from it all. The plunge pool was lovely for a refreshing dip. The road up the mountain is a challenge but we knew that from reviews. We took all the food we needed up with us as we knew that we would not want to drive the car up the mountain more than once.

Little piece of heaven

We had an amazing stay at Villa Gorno Melnicani! The view, the nature and the pool made our two nights here just perfect!! Slave and his wife was very welcoming and friendly! We will definitely come back one day, and we absolutely recommend staying at this beautiful place!

Excellent host and overall great value for money!

The view from there is astonishing, and the villa was very clean. The road is not asphalted during the last 5-6km so it is advised to use SUV on your way up! However, if you are with a smaller car, you can live the car in the host's backyard and he is kind enough to give you a ride up to the villa.

Everything.... intimacy...private...cosy n warm.....but the best was waking up to that view...simply amazing!

Amazing stay in the mountains

The view was absolutely incredible and the host (Slave) couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We loved the pool and the location and enjoyed drinking local rakiya with Slave.

The dirt road that leads to the house is 4.5 kilometres of very steep terrain. Our rental car has a hard time getting up to the house and we would recommend coming with a 4×4 if possible.

This was an absolutely amazing place. The host couple were really nice, a full 10. But a small warning, if you are even a little unsure of your driving skills, ask the host couple for help to get to the accommodation. The last 4km is really challenging driving, a dirt road uphill. The accommodation will reward you when you get there :)

Heaven on earth in beautiful maccedonia

The warm hospitality of slava and his wife , the most friendly people you can ever meet. The very unique location on the top of the mountain, the amazing view from the terrace, the refreshing little pool, the homey simple house that has everything you need, and above all this - the graceful nature and the quiet serrounding. Heaven on earth in a very affordable way.

A trip out of the ordinary

The perfect getaway from the concrete jungle. Even though the last 4 km may be a bit of challenging, it`s all worth it once you feel the peace and tranquility. The place is equipped with anything you may need in the kitchen and the toilet. Comfortable beds, very clean. Perfect to enjoy your morning coffee or lunch either on the terrace or by the pool. The view is a million dollars one. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. And if you are lucky, the two adorable dogs will make you company. Highly recommended for a different kind of trip.

Overall, wonderful. When we arrived, we were greeted by such a beautiful place, pleasant, natural... simplе tranquility. The villa is just like the place, very natural, pleasant, cozy. There was nothing inside that you could not find. Whatever you think you should take with you, leave it because it is definitely there. The villa has a fireplace and it's very warm in any of the rooms, even if it's cold outside. I am very sorry that as a person I am not rich in words to capture our stay there and how nice it was, but I will say that we will surely come back again, hopefully in good health next summer. The view you get at this place is something special, especially you will not want to part from the balcony, at any part of the day. We were welcomed and sent off by the landlords who were the most pleasant people, ESPECIALLY the landlady who was responsible for our stay to be pleasant, clean and supplied of course. There were also their friends who were also in their most cheerful mood. It was good to be around people like that. If you meet a dog there, just give him love and everything will be ok. As for the road, we climbed without a problem with the Opel Corsa (1999), there was no snow, it was clear at that point. And also the road was not that narrow, so you can maneuver easily. The fact that at over 1050 meters above sea level the road to the mountain is not ideal, is the reason why the place up there is so special. However, if you want a little activity, you can walk down (or up). In one direction we walked about 1 hour and we were not in a hurry at all, we just wanted to enjoy nature. The most important thing is that your lungs will be grateful. I highly recommend it to people who love nature and the flow of nature.

The access is off road, and it is a couple km driving on a really bad dirt road. But once you get there, its perfect. So, take everything you need on your way there because going back and forth is not really an option.

The road uphill is pretty bad but it's managable. We drove up in a rental Dacia Sandero Stepway twice, without that much hassle. Might be harder on a rainy day though The pool is not heated in any way, so the water was too cold to use on a cloudy day.

Great, honest balkan place with the plus of a pool with mountain view. All there what you could require. Super friendly and helpful owner and neighbours. Motorcycle broke down - they helped with the repair. Got sick - they took care of the medication.

Ruhe, Erholung und ein traumhafter Blick

Ein architektonisch sehr gelungenes Haus in einem (fast) verlassenen Bergdorf. Traumhafter Blick ins Tal und auf den Stausee. Ideal zum Abschalten. Ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Vermieter, der ein Haus unten am Anfang der Bergstraße hat. Als die Fahrt die Straße hoch mal eine etwas schwierigere Stelle hatte, hat er mir genau erklärt, wie ich die hochkomme.

Die Straße zum Dorf ist aus mitteleuropäischer Sicht schon robust, aber durchaus machbar. Der Vorteil: Dadurch, dass sie nicht so extrem gut ausgebaut ist, bleibt es im Ort selbst ruhig.
