Aileen - Unique tiny house with wood fired roll top bath in heart of the Cairngorms

Definitely unique, quirky, and a lovely property to stay at.

Was not a fan of the ‘communal’ garden. Stayed in my own locked part

Location was great, nice to have access to jacuzzi, nice structure to the house.

The windows are nice but facing pathway and people can potentialy see you lying down, so you can't really enjoy this option. The bath i would say needs refurb asap! The paint inside is peeling off, not nice and not safe. House to put the water in didnt work and we had to connect it to the other building. Also as photographer i wanted to do some content and choose property for it aesthetics and lovley pictures, only to find out the colours are not true to those advertised. They advertised neutral, earthy tones, while you get organge zig zag terrible courtins not as on the advert...disappointment. Also the sofa bed its not comfortable as its made of 4 sofa pillows. Access to the veg garden? Looks like didnt had tlc for years, area is very weeded and not taken care off.

The Owners are really lovely and the skill of finish in our tony house (Aileen) was really impressive

The little house was really cute and Ballater is a lovely location.

The roll top bath was unusable and looked like it needed to be binned! Wasn’t clean and was heavily stained. Along with a couple of minor cleaning issues inside the property. 5 minute shower also not ideal and only found out about it a week before our stay. Owner was nice and did give us a partial refund and said that the bath will be cleaned. Overall, good stay but I don’t think the bath should be advertised with the condition it’s in
