The cabin was beautiful and really well organised and made. The hot tub was lovely
4pm check in and 10am check out felt unnecessarily tight as a timescale considering hotels are more lenient and have more clean up to do. It felt especially ungenerous as it was mid winter

Location and concept was great along with hot tub.
The photos did not represent the reality. The property was very dirty and previous guests clothes (underwear) was found. The bed was unmade and unsure if it was even clean. Down the side of the bed didn't look like it had ever been cleaned - lots of hair and even a used sock was found. This property sells itself on luxury, but it certainly wasn't worth the price we paid. Very dirty and dissapointing.

Aileen was a fun and unique stay. The tiny house was well thought out and very comfortable. My wife wasn’t sure when we checked in, but then didn’t want to leave at checkout.

The bed that was in the loft, accessed via a steep ladder that had to be secured in place as needed as it blocked access to the silverware drawer, was comfortable.
It was massively overpriced. It cost more than the nearby small hotels that offered one or two beds in a large room with large bathrooms that had indoor bathtubs (that you didn’t need to fill with a hose and then start a fire underneath, wait for it to heat, put the fire out, and then sit in an open backyard) and included a delicious hot breakfast to order at no additional charge.

Beautiful location on the River Dee. Enjoyed the hot tub, wood burning tub and the fire pit. Got to see cows and nice walk to River Dee.
It is a tiny house so it is small, but was a great unique experience.

Super easy to find. Had multiple messages from the hosts in the days preceding our stay. Met one of the hosts on site who helped us with the fire oven - saved us so much! Honestly a beautiful birthday stay and would highly recommend a visit. Close to ballater, easy to find.

Gorgeous little home from home in a beautiful area. We loved the hot tub and the pizza oven. Bed was comfy and we slept so well! Thanks for having us x

Location was great - walking distance into Ballater town along the river.
Access to the hot tub was great and it was clean.
The bed sheets did not smell clean and were musky. As we were there during warm weather this was particularly obvious and off putting.
The shower is eco but this means only five minutes of hot water at a time which was not stated at the point of booking. The door did not shut properly and kept popping open.
The cabin looks quite romantic and private in the pictures and description however was totally lacking in privacy. The cabin overlooks the host's garden and they were gardening during our stay whilst there is no curtain over the door and due to the tiny size of the cabin you are quite visible. The outdoor bath is also visible from their garden and from the road which means we didn't use it.
The host started drilling, hammering and sawing between 9-10pm.
This was quite expensive at £203 p/night and we were quite disappointed at this price point, especially in comparison to other places we stayed on this trip.

Loved the location. Very quiet and not to far out of Ballater for ease of cafes / shops. Great walks and the river practically on your doorstep. Loved sleeping under the stars. Tiny house left a huge memory.

Perfect location, great jacuzzi (good for relaxing after a long walk and skiing in the mountains), the facilities were great too in the tiny house, everything you need. The little stove was good also and very easy to light and warmed the whole place up. Amazing!
Nothing.

Everything you could possibly need in the cottage itself! Everything was so well thought through and well made. We loved the fire

Very unique, everything was so compact, perfect size for a couple. Loved the window at the top bedroom. Location was amazing and the hosts were so friendly.
Would be nice to have some games in the tiny house like playing cards, dominoes, board games etc. I think the upstairs window at the bedroom would benefit from one way reflective window film so you can enjoy the view without worrying about other people seeing you. Might also be an idea to add a flag or sign at the hot tub to show if it is vacant or engaged.

Enough space for parking and very close to many attractions and amenities.
Be aware not to miss the entrance on the road. Not well signed if you arrived during the night.

The uniqueness of the property and its location. Also the craftsmanship and care taken during building
The tiny house was closer to other properties than expected
During the day there was a lot of people/staff outside the house and in the gardens. I realise it’s necessary but it made using the outside facilities difficult

Unfortunately our experience was awful and it is with regret to have to post a negative review. The owner was on not on site when we stayed, apparently was out of the country. We were left to use a lock pad to gain access.
The bed clearly had not been changed as there were suspicious stains on the bed sheets.
The hot tub was not cleaned with dead flies floating on the top.
I contacted the owners communication manager, apparently they in England as she was in no way interested in helping my family.
We left after 4 hours, the owner refused any refund and we booked somewhere else 10 minutes further with lovely helpful staff and beautiful, clean accommodation.
Definitely would not recommend.

Maybe too tiny for a family of four.

Lovely little cabin. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The location is great, close to Ballater and Braemar within driving distance. We used the tub, and it was a real experience!
Very peaceful stay and glad to be able to bring our dog with us. Have recommended to friends.
One small suggestion; would be nice to have a little gate on the path up to the lodge just so that we could let our dog off lead outside without worry that he would escape and run around the gardens.

Although as the name suggests it's a Tiny house, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The views from the bed were great. The walks around the tiny house were great for us especially with the dog. Ballater is such a lovely place. Highly recommended the bakery and butcher by royal appointment. Food was lovely.

Nicely located, well equipped kitchen, great design.
Having to move the ladder to be able to use kitchen was a bit of a nuisance; it would be great if there was a space to hang clothes

Did what it said on the tin – it's a unique, tiny house, a fascinating little home on wheels with a sustainable ethos and a bucket-load of charm. It was cosy and comfortable. Owner was around and friendly. Communications were excellent. Wood burner and coffee machine are lovely touches. A lot of fun.
Did what it said on the tin – it's a unique, tiny house! If you are looking for inside space to roam (we are a family of four!), you might struggle – but if you embrace the set-up and the sustainable ethos, you will mind less.
