Peaceful getaway for R&R

Fantastic stay at the alba boutique pod. Absolutely loved the stay, so incredibly peaceful. All the required necessities available and beautifully presented. We were very comfortable and enjoyed it so much. Will stay again for sure!

A cute little cabin with a hot tub, lovely view and good location - close to Balmoral castle and the town of Ballater - nice for a quiet and chilled stay!

Cute eco cabins for a lovely stay in the countryside

I loved the design and eco vibe, everything was made out of wood and had nice green/brown/ beige tones. There are 4-5 cabins on site, but spaced well. The area is georgous, the town is nearby (with good options for cafes - ,mind you £4 for a coffee! - and a couple pubs, there's a lovely river walk from the property. The hosts were very accommodating with our change in dates and excellent in Whatsapp communication. The hot tub super comfy and we watched the stars from it. Good kitchen facilities, we enjoyed the airfryer - no freezer. Loved the Christmas decor!

A few small things. We stayed at Alba and the wooden platform on the side of the cabin leading to a car park is very slippery when it rains or if there's frost. Both me and my dog slipped a good few times. The treehouse room for sleeping is perhaps better for children, we tried it out and slept ok but it felt a little tight. Moved to the main bedroom. We felt like the drainage hole on the bathroom floor is perhaps too small, the bathroom floor was always completely wet, sometimes leaking a bit to the kitchen. In the kitchen, a spatula was badly burned and could be replaced. Towels and bedding had light stains on them but quite a lot. This might be down to using eco friendly washing products, perhaps occassionally a stain remover could be used (we understand it wouldnt be great to bin these of course).

Honestly the most amazing stay. Can’t wait to come back. Was just perfect in every way.

Wow absolutely loved staying here. The cabin was just perfect for me. It had everything that I could have needed. The bed was comfortable and the interior immaculate.

Amazing place to stay with your family would definitely be back

We stayed yesterday night 10/10/25 such a lovely wee cabin easy to get to and not that far from ballater which is a little beautiful town easy access to get into the cabin when in was amazed how well presented it was from the 2 beds one which has step ladder up to it in the higher level and the comfiest bed on the bottom level the toilet has everything in it aswell bonus was the hot tub which the kids loved all in all amazing place to stay and the people who run it were amazing to 👍🏼

A small but well designed cabin in a perfect location

Lovely location. A short walk to the river and easy walking distance from Ballater. It is set in a charming garden with a beautiful view of forests and hills. The cabin is delightful and the bathroom is splendid. We were made to feel very welcome.

Bed mattress:) Hot tube shared with others. Restricted hours to use hot bath tube - should be possible to 11 pm and from 8 am. It’s holiday time :)

Small but beautiful get away from it all.

Beautiful decor. Well planned out space. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Peaceful Beautiful view.

Stained throw cushions on bed and sour dish cloth. Hot tub needed freshened up, a bit of scum on the side. These didn't spoil our stay as everything else was lovely.

Great cabin with hot tub and lovely views

Lovely cabin with a good use of space, had everything you needed. Comfortable bed and great views. We really enjoyed the use of the shared hot tub. Would definitely recommend.

We did have to wash some of the cutlery and plates before we could use them as we think the person who stayed before must have split a cup of tea in the drawer which hadn’t been noticed by the cleaner. Other than this everything else was clean so didn’t affect our enjoyment of our stay.

A very pleasant experience in an eco-friendly environment.

Location was great although a car is pretty much essential to explore the area adequately. The cabin was compact but had all the essentials. It was also clean and tidy. The Air Fryer was a welcome addition as there was no oven. Great to have a hot tub on the site. Friendly and helpful staff.

The "up-the-ladder" bedroom is only really suitable for one/two young kids or a small adult. It has a very low ceiling and access would be a challenge for a lot of people (older adults; those who are less flexible). Not really suitable for anyone requiring access to the loo during the night!

Fantastic

Beautiful cabin, we were a family of 4 and it was super comfortable for our 2 night stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. Great views, and a beautiful surrounding area. The hot tub was a great touch and we definitely got the use of it. Was such a peaceful place, and really relaxing. There was a bottle of wine, waiting in the cabin for our arrival, which was greatly appreciated as we had car trouble on the way! Communication from the host on all details of the cabin were fab, and very clear. Would have gladly stayed longer than 2 days. We will definitely use again.

Pleasant

You could tell a lot of care had gone into the build of the tiny home and the main part of the cabin actually felt fairly roomy. The hosts were very helpful.

The loft/"second bedroom" was tiny and a very tight fit even for two kids. I can't imagine trying to get an adult up there. I didn't find the location to be great. The cabin was squeezed on to a small cluttered lot with a few other tiny homes and campers and wasn't the secluded retreat I was expecting.

Lovely place with a breathtaking view.

The view from the lodge was sensational, the lodge was decorated beautifully, great use of space and well thought it. The heated flooring was a big plus and the small amenities such as oil, sugar, salt and utensils was a big bonus. The electric blinds and the lights around the bed were a really nice touch. The staff were overall lovely as well and great help as well.

Not having a blind to cover the bathroom window as people were working around the lodge and other people were around the area as well. The jacuzzi was dirty and not cleaned well at all. Great that chemicals are put in to keep water clean but need something to clean the debris or little bits sitting at the bottom and not being taken out.
