Llegamos a las 16h , hora del check in y había gente trabajando en la instalación eléctrica . No pudimos entrar hasta las 18.30 . Además no había papel higiénico y algún otro ítem necesario . Tuvimos que contactar con alguien al cargo que dejó el dueño.

A great location and property for a few days in Braemar

Great location to explore the Cairngorms national park with several hikes beginning in Braemar itself and a short drive to others. Lovely little town, good supermarket opposite which is open early and shuts late. Easy to find, conveniently located. Nice and spacious 2 bedroom apartment with seperate living area, kitchen and dining. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Good sized bathroom, good water pressure from the shower. Washing and drying facilities which was good.

It is a very cold town, the property had 6 heaters but unfortunately only 2 of them worked (in the bedrooms), meaning the common space was very cold. We contacted the owner, who did have someone attend to look at one of the heaters, and then provided a replacement/ portable heater when requested by us. A review of the comments and reviews on booking.com suggest one of the other heaters has been out of action/ broken for some time. There was no mention of this at booking or in the welcome pack. The welcome pack had some misinformation with some details missing - specially about the heating and instructions for use. The property has a fridge, and cooking appliances, a couple of basic staples were provided (salt & pepper); however it was the only accommodation we stayed in that didn’t provide milk. This would have been disappointing if you had arrived after the shop closed as you couldn’t have a cup of tea or coffee. It was an expensive property, so some of the issues were disappointing. In general, a nice stay. I wouldn’t stay there again however.
