Lovely property in a lovely old French town!

Chambres d'Hotes can be a bit hit or miss, but this is a lovely property in the middle of Vendome. Very welcoming host, who showed us around and made sure we had all of the information needed. Only a 2 minute walk to a lovely Restaurant in the centre of the town, which is of classic French style.

The WC is not actually ensuite, and possibly shared. Being an old crusty who needs to get up occasionally, this could have been a problem.

I would come back

Great stay! The host has really made an effort to make the stay very comfortable. Lots of attention to details and great facilities: library for children and adults, TV, DVDs including cartoons. We travelled with a kid, so this was excellent entertainment. Warm bathroom which is great during colder month. We also had breakfast included in the price of our stay. Great breakfast and the host even included a local specialty baguette, which was really nice.

It was OK but I wouldn’t go back because of lack of loo.

V good breakfast in lovely garden. V helpful host. Nice room good location, quiet. Interesting town. Good parking.

Air on would have been necessary. BUT WORST was having a loo outside the room and shared with room opposite and down steps - not easy in the middle of the night. It was advertised as a hotel but you couldn’t arrive before 5pm and once you’d checked in you were on your own.

Lovely stay in Vendome - read all the room details to make sure it suits you .

The owners were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful . it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners had made a lot of considerate touches. The breakfast was preordered ( I like that as there is no waste ) and it was delicious . The house was in a brilliant position to explore the very pretty town of Vendome - and we experienced easy free parking outside .

I did not spot , in the small print that the toilet was not in the bathroom but was on the landing .That was my fault - I should have checked . It was not a problem as no one else was sharing it and it was immediately outside our door.

Very welcoming hosts. Lots of style features and thoughtful touches like phone chargers by the bedside, guest lounge and automatic lights in corridors. Good breakfast in the garden under cover.

Ground floor room is difficult to ensure privacy (shower screen not quite opaque enough and curtains did not meet). Note shared toilet which was upstairs and meant dressing for emergency visits during the night!

Tout ! la chambre hyper confortable la literie top les draps très doux il y a aussi une bouilloire avec thé café tisane lait. La salle de douche hyper agréable spacieuse hyper bien chauffée et il y a même du coton, coton tige.

Très agréable, si nous revenons à Vendôme nous ferons le même choix.

Hôtes d'une extrême bienveillance et aux petits soins. Extrêmement bien situé à 2min à pied du petit centre ville. Chambre confortable et d'une propreté impeccable. Excellent petit déjeuner sur mesure servi dans le jardin ou dans la chambre.

l'envie de revenir explorer Vendome davantage

L'emplacement parfait vis à vis des point d'intérêts environnants, le petit déjeuner copieux et gourmand (dommage que la météo ne permettait pas de le prendre dans le jardin trop mignon), l'accueil qui m'a été fait (visite etc) et l'accès facile la nuit, enfin, la petite conversation avec le patron sur le trottoir embrumé en partant, toujours sympa pour finir :D

Les toilettes sont en dehors de la chambre et le lit trop étroit. Le ménage de la chambre n’a pas été fait pendant notre séjour, ni le lit ni la salle de bains ! Il manque une boîte de mouchoirs dans la salle de bains.
