This was a lovely stay. We were travelling in our vintage car and needed secure parking. Lovely friendly and helpful host. Great facilities and essentially air conditioning as we were in the middle of a heatwave! Also lovely grounds with ponds and lots of wildlife. Altogether a very pleasant stay. Highly recommend.
The property isn’t very near the town which would have been great for dining out but we were given a nice Charcuterie board so that worked for us.

Delightful garret overlooking extensive grounds and gardens. Very peaceful. Greeted by very friendly Veronique, the owner, with choice of refreshing drink after our long journey and information about local area. We chose to stay in for the evening in order to enjoy the tranquil location, with 11 species of birds serenading us and divine scents wafting around the evening skies. Idyllic.

Le Grand Saint-Marc is a gem in Vendôme, an absolute must to visit in the Loire Valley. This is a stunning property with rooms in a renovated historic abbey that are spacious, clean, and cozy. All rooms feature a book on the history of Le Grand Saint-Marc. Our welcoming host helped us with the perfect dinner reservation, provide excellent recommendations to explore the downtown, and treated us to our best breakfast of the trip. We hope to come back!
