Clean room, comfortable bed, good space for a night stay, good value, the staffs are friendly and helpful.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good enough space for a night stay, good value for the price we paid, the staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant within the hotel which makes it convenient for a relaxing dinner without the need of going out especially in winter. But we were too tied to even had dinner after a long day of travel from Asia. We just slept in comfortably. We were told by the staff there is a train service to and from airport and the hotel within short walking distance of a couple of minutes, we didn’t use the convenience though but took a taxi instead.

Nothing particular. Maybe a suggestion for improvement. We were given a corner room. There is a pantry like setup with a small electric stove and wash basin, which can be a welcome convenience for guests who like to prepare a simple meal. We are wondering how many guests will do that for an airport hotel. The space may be better utilised if used differently like providing an even bigger space. I almost knocked my face at a corner of a hanging cabinet when turning left for my bed. A warning/visible tape will be useful to alert guests. The staff reminded us the taxi trip to and from the airport should be €10 to €12, and shouldn’t be paying more. We paid €10 from airport to hotel, ironically the taxi the hotel helped us to call in the morning asked for €20, and we managed to bargain it down to €15. Understand everyone is trying to earn a living, but …..

In Frankfurt for one night needed something close to the airport, this hotel ticked all the boxes

Breakfast was better than expected, extensive range. Staff made the hotel stay much more enjoyable, they were extremely attentive to our needs and were able to provide good information about the local area and transport options. There was a supermarket within a short walk and a number of restaurants, nearby. The train line is a 2 minute walk to Frankfurt CBD or the airport.

Can't say there was anything we didn't like, the room was well appointed and comfortable.

Overall very nice.

Facility was overall clean and good. Kitchen was generally clean and had everything. However the dishwater could have been cleaner inside and I wish that we had a new sponge to clean. There was an old, used sponge in the kitchen which we didn't want to use. The sofa was clean but the cushions on the sofa had hairs and didn't look so clean.

Amazing facility and room, walking distance from Frankfurt Airport terminal 2.

Super breakfast with all bases covered. The room unexpectedly had a small kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, frig, and dishes. With the grocery store a 4 minute walk away, inexpensive dining was easy. Very comfortable bed. Extremely quiet room. The facility is no more than a couple of years old, is in wonderful shape. Thoughtfully designed common areas.

The registration process was a bit tedious. We were required to input name, address and other information on a quirky touchscreen guided by the reception agent. Don't know if German privacy rules precluded the hotel from copying that information from the reservation I had made.

Fabulous hotel for a stay close to the airport

I stayed at this Best Western before (before my flight back to Australia) and will definitely stay there again! Great location only one station to the airport. The hotel is modern and the rooms are absolutely fabulous. They are so generously sized, it feels like a small apartment. They come with a fully equipped kitchen, desk, large and super comfy bed, big TV and spacious bathroom. There is tea, coffee and complimentary bottled water. Air conditioning works perfectly.

An issue that should be mentioned, especially when you have little kids: one of the floor to ceiling windows opened up half way, like a door and there was no railing! I was on the second floor so it was quite a way down! Surely that's a safety issue that needs to be addressed? The breakfast buffet could have done with a better selection of fresh rolls and bread.

Excellent Location and Value Near the Airport

We stayed here on our first and last nights in Germany. This hotel is a short distance from the airport by subway and they do have a parking garage underneath the hotel. The facilities are clean and new and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The charge to park a car in the basement was unreasonable, way too much for an overnight stay.

Everything was great. Very close to the train station. Taxi to the Terminal availabel from big Hotel next door. Would definitely book this place again.

The only tiny downside was that I did not manage to operate the coffee maker. And when I mentioned this on check out, the friendly concierge, he apologised, smiled and said, that there is a trick to it. Would be great to share this trick with guests before check out :-)

A spacious and comfortable apartment that could use more attention to maintenance and cleaning

The apartment was spacious and well laid out with a very comfortable bed and nice kitchenette area. It was close to the S-Bahn.

The air conditioning in the bedroom was not working and there was hair/stains on the cushions and marks on the bed sheet. The spare toilet paper had been wet and was dirty and the soap dispenser in the bathroom required refilling. We were not offered an alternate room when we reported the air conditioning problem.

Pretty much next to train station and very quiet location

My second stay here and the first time staff at reception were appalling. I chose to stay again because it's a really good location only a few steps from train station and quiet location. This time, staff was much nicer and even had a smile on their faces. Got a surprise egg as welcome gift, which made me quite happy;)

We left too early to have breakfast, but there were nice restaurants within walking distance for lunch and dinner.

Great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance of the airport. Staff was very responsive: in our first room the AC wasn’t working and we were immediately moved to another room on the same floor. The breakfast was great.

Due to our flight was cancelled, we were lucky to get 2 rooms in a short time but at EUR 40 cheaper than our previous one. S-bahn station is next to the hotel but there is no sign.

No airport shuttle service. You can take S-bahn to terminal 1. For terminal 2, you have to either walk (15 - 20 mins) or take a taxi (or S-bahn to terminal 1 and then use the shuttle between terminal 1 and terminal 2). Taxi will charge around EUR 8 - 10 to terminal 2 subject to use the taxi meter or not. Not many restaurants nearby. We were told to wait for at least 40 minutes at the hotel restaurant because there was only 1 staff.

close to the airport, quiet and comfortable night

Free shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. EUR 2.1 for the bus and a very short walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The other leg will cost EUR X but I did not use it the next day. The room is well designed, quiet, and well lit. Bed is very comfortable. A long working desk is handy. Kitchen is quite well equipped (for a simple and quick meal).

I wanted to try Vietnamese dishes (Pho and Bun Bo Hue) which were included in the brochure and provided to me. However, the hotel's restaurant did not offer it the day I was there, and the staff at reception did not know anything about the dishes they have advertised. A few hours later (after a second request) I was advised by someone working at the restaurant that the lunch chef was unwell.... the hotel could have charged directly to my credit card or accept payment at check out as many other hotels do. I arrived there close to midnight after a tiring flight and the staff requested me to pay at check in. I would have given you a 9 if you had not been after the payment at the time I was exhausted.

Excellent choice in a very convenient location

Gateway Gardens is a really convenient location to stay in Frankfurt, whether you need to be in the city or at the airport. The hotel is only a few steps away from the train station; the trains are regular, and you can be in the city in less than 15 minutes. The taxi to the airport cost us less than ten euros. I highly recommend Gateway Gardens, and the Best Western is one of the best located. The room itself is well-equipped and cleverly designed such that the bed and kitchen/workspace are mostly separated from one another. There's a pad with hotel info in the room. The bathroom is a good size. They even have an iron and ironing board in the cupboard. The staff checked us in smoothly and answered our questions as needed.

The air-conditioning wasn't very effective, even after cooling down for several hours. However, the front desk staff gave us an additional room card so that we didn't have to turn the aircon off every time we left the room. It wasn't unbearably hot, but it certainly could have been more comfortable. I've seen a few reviews mention the weird "door to nowhere". It does seem a bit of an odd design choice, but the door actually only opens about six inches, so once you get past the shock of there being an opening door in your wall, you can appreciate being able to open the window at night. There was a delivery truck to the hotel next door at about 4am; it was really loud. I guess that's a potential hazard to staying in a hotel-heavy location like Gateway Gardens. These are all quibbles though, to be honest, we were very happy that we chose Best Western Airport for our short stay in Frankfurt, and we will choose it again next time.

Ok staff failed the greatness of the hotel

The hotel was clean, comfortable and very well loctated. The value for money was great. Leaving was timely and easy the shower was hot and strong.

he only issue we had was check in it took over 10 mins and all because the staff didn't know how to work the system. I understand this but it was a comedy of errors at some point. It took so long we had to order food as the restranunt closed.
