We were very comfortable the beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby.

It was kid friendly the master bedroom had lots of space. It’s clean the pool was very clean the water was hot the dish washer was functioning well.

WiFi was too far only the master bedroom had good network coverage for internet. The lawn needed attention the grass was dry and not as the pictures.

Quiet surroundings, the property was a good holiday home, enough rooms to accommodate my family and the staff was very helpful and nice

The beds are a little old but still a bit comfortable also the towels were stained .. but all in all… I enjoyed my stay, thank you

Beautiful House with beautiful views and great location

The house is very beautiful and exactly as pictured. It's was big and spacious enough for all my family members. We actually wished we had booked more days to enjoy the house.

The alarm system caused a bit of anxiety for us. It got triggered several times and there was no clear instructions on the process to follow. I would recommend you provide clear instructions on what to do if it goes off beyond disarming it. Security showed up in the middle of the night and we couldn't open for them because we were not sure if they were indeed the security or someone pretending to be security. Provide details on the security company, people that have access to the house, etc. The pool guys and garden people showing up to clean is a bit uncomfortable because you can never be certain if it's the actual person or someone else with access to the house. This brought so much anxiety for me.

Nice property, poor communication and unfair charges!

House is a good size, and the location is near Hout bay beach, close to supermarkets etc. but you will need a car to get around. Good security cameras, gates, bars, etc. and load shedding back ups were throughout the property but not needed during our stay.

Communication was very poor from the start. I was originally given the wrong number for the property manager so no one was there when we arrived. But luckily a friendly neighbour contacted the property owner and they gave us the code to enter. Several messages went unanswered later on during our stay. The swimming pool was freezing and not for the faint hearted but the kids still managed to venture in! There was a power cut on the last night which unnerved us when everything started back up again in the middle of the night but obviously these things happen from time to time. *** One thing to be aware of when booking! Expect to loose your damage deposit *** The owners insisted on a direct bank transfer for the deposit and then unfairly charged us for a rusty, weather corroded bbq and a wooden gate latch that was broken on arrival, they took the full deposit from us and refused to discuss it further. We are really disappointed as we ensured we followed their strict rules and kept the house in pristine condition. I feel the deposit money should be held in a neutral account like with long term rentals so money can’t be kept unfairly without a neutral mediator to listen to both sides of the story…I found the situation particularly unfair as booking.com wouldn’t help even though we had proof of prior damage. It definitely ruined our experience and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Was a lovely location, good for young kids

The swimmimg pool, trampoline, towels, the location, kiddies toys, safety and space in the house.

Crockery and glasses were chipped, shower heads could be updated, snags needed on the house, cordless kettle would be nice, plumbing needs improving, beeping on the inverter early hours of the morning due to load shedding, rain dipping into the house, no hot water in kitchen sink.

Nightmare! Do not go there!

The location Houtbay.

Everything! We booked this accomodation for 3 weeks, but we left after 2 nights (we only stayed because we needed to find something else. The house looks like an extended mobile home in a really poor condition. Almost all the bad comments in reviews that we’ve read were “fixed” with a poor temporary solution. (except for the poor quality of kitchen utensils) We are a family with 2 small children (0 and 3), for us and for them this wasn’t a safe place to stay. All loose and broken tiles around the pool, the safety foam around the trampoline doesn’t cover the springs, the floor in the house is hold together with a metal plate and screws sticking out of the floor. Broken glass in the fireplace, broken cupboards and spikes sticking out of the wall. After 5 minutes in the house our kids had already hurt themselves on the screws and poor, old wood which was supposed to be an outdoor lounge “sofa”. Our baby who crawls on the floor was totally black from the dirty floor. (this place hasn’t been mopped since ever! This house needs a good renovation instead of temporary fixing. I strongly recommend everybody not to go to this place if you want to have a good time! The only good thing is that the owner installed an back up system for the wifi during loadshedding.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at LA Boheme. Spacious, welcoming and fun!

The house looked amazing. Very spacious and lovely designs. The kitchen, rooms, pool, trampoline and a fireplace was just amazing! Also wifi connection was good. We enjoyed watching Netflix and spending time by the fireplace.

Perhaps insert another mirror in the bathroom or lounge area. Also insert a curtain/blinds in the bathroom to avoid other room from looking into the bathroom.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at Isa’s house. It is a great location nearby multiple hotspots you have to visit during a stay in Capetown. the house was spacious en has a wonderful garden. Isa was a good host and easy to communicate with. I am sure we will visit LaBoheme again.

frustrating annoying and disappointing

nice house, good position, lots of space

Crazy expensive with lots of annoying hidden costs. Definitely not value for money. The basic rate was not cheap, then 25-39% extras were added for cleaning, linen and management. I would think these are all in the daily rate. Then just before we arrive we’re told a breakage deposit of 25% is payable. No one was on hand to book us in or sort out deposit details. We were then hounded endlessly to pay the deposit and threatened to be reported? if we didn’t. This made the vacation very unpleasant. We left 4 nights later still not having seen a single soul. We did get feedback thankfully that we had left the house immaculate. Not a single luxury facility was provided eg tea coffee sugar soap etc The oven was disgustingly dirty, we couldn’t use it Some of the linen had nasty crusty stains on it, see pic, even though we paid enough as a linen charge? to buy new linen I would not recommend this facility

Exceptional

We had a lovely stay and very special moments together. Such a great time in Hout Bay with plenty to do. The house was fantastic, and big enough to accommodate the whole family. We were very comfortable, even considering we were representing all age groups, from 4 to 74. Security in the house was also good and put our mind at ease. Would definitely stay there again. Even in winter was amazing!

Beautiful property in Houtbay, the pool was solar heated so we enjoyed the swimming, we also liked the outdoor boma area and trampoline. The garden was well kept too. the beds were amazingly comfortable and top quality pillows. Each room has a fan and cooling system on the warmer days as the wood interior can absorb quite a lot of heat.

The kitchen utensils could be updated, old pots and utensils, also more glasses could be provided for. The shower curtain in the guest bathroom is unpleasant. We also was not provided with washing clothes and drying clothes in the kitchen. There was also no cleaning materials provided to wipe down counters and sanitize.

Amazing experience - calm and serene and super comfortable for a huge group of people. Great views!

The home is very comfortable and spacious. Facilities were provided and the host was very accommodating. We did have an issue with the dining table chairs (some were broken). Host informed us that new chairs were arriving only the following week. Appliances worked great and we experienced no issues within the home. Location is decent, however, the drive from Cape Town is exceptional. Great experience overall and would definitely recommend this place to accommodate a big group!

The kids were able to enjoy the pool as well as trampoline. Close to Camps Bay beach, Table Mountain, Hout Bay as well as shops.

Top verblijf! Zeker een aanrader met kinderen.

Het huis is zo fijn en groot! Voorzien van alle faciliteiten. En de tuin met zwembad en trampoline was voor de kinderen echt perfect. Wij verbleven in het huis met 3 volwassenen en 4 kinderen. Contact was ook prima, als er iets was of je hebt een vraag kon je gewoon een berichtje sturen en altijd snel antwoord.
