Would definitely recommend (for a short period).

Would recommend for a short period. Value was great. We did enjoy the view and also the pool and everything was very clean.

We had the apartment with 2 bedrooms but one of the bedrooms is in the kitchen/living room area. Also you can’t really enjoy the sunrise from bed (the view would be amazing tho), because everyone could just look right at your bed from the pool area.

Not quite what we were expecting.

Rachel was amazing and very accommodating. The view was also beautiful.

There was no washing machine in room as mentioned on this platform. The second bedroom is not actually a bedroom, it's a bed placed in a courtyard with no ventilation, mold, uneven surface and water pipes in which the toilet window opens into. The bed itself is also incredibly hard. The biggest thing though was there was a door that we could not lock that seemed to be a passage way for the cleaners to reach all the other apartments but it left us feeling a bit uneasy that an any moment someone could be in our apartment.

It was pleasant on the whole for a short stay but would not return or recommend unfortunately.

- The location was lovely - we felt very safe in the neighbourhood - stunning sunset views. - nice pool outside which was cleaned regularly by the friendly and helpful maintenance man and pool cleaning machine. - plenty of seats outside to sit and relax. - strong shower pressure.

The property was quite noisy due to the structure of the rooms, with guests staying on either side and above. We could clearly hear talking, toilets flushing, and furniture being moved. • It’s shared accommodation, so people were constantly walking past the room, which made it feel far from private. • There were rowdy guests who woke us around 4–5 a.m. by shouting and jumping in the pool. • There are many steps throughout the property and no lift or ramp access for luggage, so be aware if you’re traveling with heavy bags or have mobility concerns. • Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a warm welcome on arrival. The staff member was blunt and abrupt, offering no information about the room or the property- just told us to “come back later when the room’s clean.” When we asked about nearby shops, we were simply told “Camps Bay,” with no friendliness or local recommendations offered. At checkout, there were no staff around and no communication to confirm our departure or ask if we needed any assistance. • We found several cockroaches on the kitchen surfaces. • There was visible mould in the bathroom. • The door lock felt unreliable and should be checked for safety. ** plug sockets by the bed & mirror in twin room would be helpful.

Had a good stay at the property.

The accommodation was good. Our room was clean and had all the facilities you require. The host could provide more variety of sharp knives to use when cooking. Also provide more kitchen towels. The view from the room is breathtaking.

My room was right in front of the swimming pool but the pool is used by all of the residence in the property so you do not have as much privacy as you would want. The location of the place is good but you may want to stay closer to the main strip as you are unable to walk to the strip from the location of the property.

Clean, comfortable, great view, good value

Fantastic view, clean, comfortable bed. We accidentally left our keys and the owner gave them to his friend who was flying to the uk who then took the time to meet us and return them. Exceptional host! Staff were lovely and helped us with our baggage when we arrived. Camps bay is cool and it’s easy to get to Cape Town and table mountain. It’s very good value for money. Would heartily recommend.

This was such an underwhelming stay. The view alone is not sufficient to keep clients happy.

The location is central to the northern parts of cape town and really perfect if you are planning to do many activities around the camps bay, green point, Clifton etc. areas.

The space lacks attention to detail. 1. Unavailability of Headboards: There is no headboard and the quality of the pillows is poor, not great for propping you up while sitting up on the bed so you have to lean against the cold wall. 2. Cleanliness: The place wasn't clean. Only the bedding had been changed in anticipation of our arrival. 3. Essentials: Instead of whole new toilet roll, there was a left over roll from the previous guests which was not made to look aesthetically pleasing to say the least. There was an almost empty bottle of sunlight dish washing liquid that literally had one drop left in it. There was 1 bin placed in the bathroom, is this meant to be a shared bin? 4. Unavailability bottled water:The water in cape town does not taste great and upon arrival there was no bottled water available for us as guests. 5. The towels are changed weekly which is absolutely crazy if you ask me, if you want fresh towels you have to pay an added fee. We stayed 3 nights here and there's no cleaning service, refreshing of towels etc. 6. Staff attitude: There's nothing I hate more than being made to feel like I'm being done a favour for a service I'm paying for. On one of the days, we came back to our stoep or door way covered in grass because they had been performing maintenance on the grounds, the gentlemen looked at us and then continued with his conversation with the house keeping lady, almost to insinuate that we must jump over it, the house keeping lady then asked if I had a problem, I continued just staring at them until she said that they would clean the stoep but could we find our way around the mess in the mean time. 7. Not disability friendly. This was such an underwhelming stay. The view alone is not sufficient to keep clients happy, a lot more goes into it.

Disappointing stay even if the view is lovely!

We were really looking forward to our stay here — the property itself is lovely, with stunning views and a peaceful setting. Unfortunately, despite the location, our overall experience was extremely disappointing. Before we arrived we learned that our room had been completely trashed by previous guests the night before. While I appreciate that this was out of the owner’s control, the way the situation was handled left a lot to be desired. We requested a cancellation or refund given the state of the room, but the owner flatly refused and was, frankly, very rude in his communication with us. Realising we wouldn’t be getting any refund or alternative accommodation, we had little choice but to stay — but even then, the room wasn’t ready for us until around 6pm, a full three hours after check-in time. We had also requested an extra bed for one of our children prior to our stay — something the owner assured us he would arrange. This never happened. Instead, the owner actually suggested that our friends (who had booked a larger, more expensive room) swap rooms with us so we could have more space — which felt completely inappropriate and unfair to ask of them. The real saving grace of the property is Rachel, who works on-site and genuinely did her best to help us. But it’s clear she is completely overwhelmed, trying to run and manage the entire place on her own while the owner communicates remotely from abroad. To add to the frustration, the owner also asked that we message him directly with any problems rather than leave a review — which, honestly, felt very underhanded and only reinforced our poor impression of how customer concerns are handled here. It’s a shame because the property does have potential, but sadly our experience was marred by poor communication, a lack of basic hospitality, and a general sense that guest comfort comes second to profit. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Lovely stay in beautiful Camps Bay with breathtaking views

The location is excellent and the views are breathtakingly beautiful. The apartment is comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated and looks exactly like it does in the pictures. I highly recommended View 16.

Areas of improvement: The establishment should create ample parking for guests, ensure that the agent is easily contactable and the housekeeper could benefit from some training in guest relations.

Die ruhige Lage und der Ausblick sind sehr schön. Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse aus. Das 2 Schlafzimmer Apartment war großzügig.

Das innenliegende Schlafzimmer ist grenzwertig. Es hat weder ein Fenster zum öffnen ( dafür ein Glasdach), noch eine Steckdose und keinen Lichtschalter. Im Raum verlaufen Abwasserleitungen die Geräusche verursachen. Das Licht ist mit dem WC Lichtschalter gekoppelt, dass heißt, wenn das Toiletten Licht angeht, geht die Lampe im Schlafzimmer an. Zum Glück brauchten wir den Raum nicht, da wir zu zweit waren.

Het uitzicht, de inrichting van de accommodatie, heerlijke plek om de zonsondergang te zien, schoon.

Het is inderdaad een erg hard bed, dat heb ik meer gelezen in de reviews. Ik hou van een hard bed maar dit is extreem. Ook kon onze deur niet op slot kwamen we na inchecken achter (dit is wel dezelfde dag opgelost) en kregen we eerst de verkeerde sleutels. Ook deed een lamp het niet. Het vervelendste vind ik hoeveel licht er de kamer binnenkomt in de ochtend. Echt 0,0 verduistering.

De locatie was perfect : dicht genoeg bij het centrum van Cape Town maar in een rustige en veilige buurt. Goed om op adem te komen na een hike of een bezoek aan de stad. Mooi zwembadje en een fantastisch zicht over de oceaan! Verder alles aanwezig om ontbijt te maken of zelf een maaltijd te bereiden. Smaakvolle inrichting!

De matrassen zijn erg hard dus het slaapcomfort kon beter…

Kein Parkplatz, schlechtes Parken an der Straße, viele steile Stufen/ schmale Treppe zum Zimmer, viele schlecht sichtbare Stufen innerhalb des Zimmers! Keine Steckdosen, sieht alles schön aus, vieles ist aber improvisiert, keine Privatsphäre, alle laufen am Zimmer vorbei oder sind im Pool direkt vor dem Zimmer
