Lovely place to stay highly recommended for families

The lodge we stayed in as a family was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We most loved the facilities for the children: the pool, the football pitch and the play area. The location was amazing- so peaceful and safe. The staff were fantastic and friendly. We had a lovely stay.

There wasn’t any air con in our lodge, just a fan, so it was quite warm

A blissful free space to enjoy the nature of Hout Bay

A beautiful setting, with well-kept gardens. Room was comfortable, good Wifi and kind staff. Our vehicle even got a nice- wipe-down after the rain. The location was convenient to get to Kirstenbosch with an Uber and it's easy to get food delivered to your doorstep. Plenty of outdoor games and space for families. Private braai and secluded porch even if smaller units are next to each other.

Quiet garden location close to Hout Bay

We enjoyed our stay here. The property is in a quiet location with a lovely garden and views of the surrounding mountains, but both Hout Bay and Constantia are a short drive away, with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. You can also very easily drive into the city and down to Cape Point. Bonus points for all the friendly dogs! Really nice coffee provided too which was a bonus. And very close to Constantia Nek for walking and Kirstenbosch Gardens.

Heaven Oasis in Cape Town!

Simply the best place in the region for a family trip, plenty of lush garden and space in the nature. The view on the surrounding moutains and nature is so refreshing. Staff super pro and friendly. Room ultra clean and cozy. Big pool clean and refreshing. Enternatinement area, gym room etc. Soccer field and playground for kids they even provide box of toys upon arrival.

Waterland Lodge is a tranquil, beautiful destination. The staff are amazing and friendly and the accommodation clean and comfortable. There is a spa and a hair salon on the property which is always such a bonus.

Absolute gem!

Waterland Lodge is definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed at. They have thought of so many little conveniences. The place is so beautiful and comfortable and my children just loved it. This is definitely now our favourite place to stay close to Cape Town! The area does not have good cell reception but the lodge has excellent Wifi and there is even a little kiosk to get anything you may have forgotten. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms pristine. The staff was very welcoming ans helpful.

The only thing we didn't like is having to leave.

A break away from the city within the city! Beautiful place!

The location was great and easily accessible! WiFi was stable to compensate for the lack of network in the area. Appreciated the owner Grant coming with extra blankets and a gas bottle for the cold weather and he stepped in when we had an issue with an other guest. The rooms were cleaned each day which is a great way to maintain our stay! The scenery in the plot is absolutely breath taking!

Beautiful, lush gardens with little nooks and crannies to get lost in. Breakfast presentation had a unique touch and came as a welcome surprise. Quiet, peaceful, clean and centrally located. Super impressed.

A great place to stay when in Hout Bay - a little oasis. One wants to stay longer than one night.

It is in a beautiful setting. A lot of attention to detail in terms of the landscaping I'd say. Calm environment with little nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy the serenity of the surrounds.

It is a lovely spot with beautiful gardens, privacy and a BBQ area. You feel very connected to nature. The dogs are lovely, the internet is fast and the view is to die for! The kitchen is very handy to cook your own food.

It was very peaceful and relaxing, the water flowing from the river makes one appreciate the nature. Will definitely stay over in future when visiting Cape Town. Highly recommend this for the whole family.

Adequate faculties but poor service

The accomodation was adequate with braai area and spacious gardens

No serviced reception area to assist with issues. we were created by the manager / owner who left with his family for the weekend. Our units electricity tripped and Ben at the property tried his best to repair it however after returning from our evening out around 11pm we had no electricity with a note offering to move us and to please only get as app his number. we opted to sleep and contact him in the morning as it was late. In the morning we tried to contact the number listed for the property - no answer - we what’s apped Ben - no answer. The complaint from our side is that with a property with a number of units there should be someone there to assist or be able to call to assist. The property is in the hospitality industry however there is no real service ethic and this should be addressed. There should be a number with an accessible , competent staff member to assist the guests immediately. They are in the hospitality industry?

Beautiful accommodation near Hout Bay - highly recommend

Waterland Lodge is a lovely place to stay. I was only there one night but could have stayed a week! The gardens are beautiful, the host very welcoming and helpful, the room was excellent - private, comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. Plenty of space for kids if you have them with you. Good wifi. Great location.
