Breakfast n/a - self catering.
A little bit dark but that was because property typical of old Montagu style. Plenty of artificial light where needed. A very spacious property with big rooms. Very comfortable. Kitchen exceptionally well stocked, including basic food was supplied - tea, coffee, sugar, bread, jam, rusks, etc.etc.
We left a note on the vestibule table giving a few "hopefully' useful ideas that would have made things even better. e.g telling us that the front door locked automatically on the way out (it would be very easy to lock oneself out if you didn't have the key with you) That was one of about 4 or 5 points but none of them a complaint.

Very easy to collect keys. On our arrival I called the owner and she was there in no time. She then showed us the place and how to use various equipment at the property.
The owner eve organised us delicious bread that we couldn't get enough of and also organised us more bread when we requested at no extra cost.
The place didn't have open access to the braai area, but we made plans to go around it.
The place can use more modern finishes according to me.

It was a beautiful old house, with everything we needed for the weekend. A warm friendly welcome received.
The back up batteries near kitchen give off a a funny smell. BUT once we knew what it was it did not bother.

Interesting old house with a rather odd layout of rooms
Right on the main road with trucks cars and people coming past at all hours. Sleep quality very poor as a result.
