Kwetu Guest Farm

You get to have breakfast on your terrace watching giraffes and other animals. We got an upgrade due to availability and it was a super comfortable hut with everything you need. Even a Moka and coffee, salt, oil… exceptional.

We loved the chalet which was fully equipped, clean and spacious with everything we needed including firewood and fire lighters for making a fire in the fireplace. We loved the wildlife which roam freely around the property. We also loved the fact that we could walk in the wildlife area freely.

The main photo advertising the property shows a hot tub and the main description of the facilities also mentions there is a hot tub. This is misleading making one think that the booking made will be for accommodation which has a hot tub. We chose this property based in the hot tub and the wildlife. It is not made clear that not all of the chalets have hot tubs when making the booking. This may be an oversight and not intentional by the property owners. We suggest that the owners change the booking.com page to make it very clear to customers booking on the site that only certain chalets at a higher price have a hot tub.

Very friendly host, different animals walking free around the chalet. We booked including the breakfast and the owners went through the extra effort of ensuring there was gluten free bread and sausage.

Mixed feelings about the stay, some things really good, some things not so good. First of all, the animals were amazing. Got to see giraffes and wild horses up close. They upgraded us from the farm house into a cottage which was really nice. The cottage was also cute and the indoor fireplace was cozy. The bed was very comfy.

The towels had dark stains on them and there was dust in corners. The most disappointing part for me was that I booked a room with pics of a hot tub, and then apparently when we got there only 2 of the rooms had a hot tub. I feel like they set an expectation and it was their responsibility to rectify this (I specifically booked a place with a hot tub) but they were quite unwilling to work with me. The admin lady was a bit snarky about it and blamed bookings.com and said her daughter was in Dubai and too busy to talk to me. As a business owner myself I think this is a really strange way to approach customers and also an unusual lack of problem solving mindset. The place was beautiful and the animals were a blessing, but before booking be sure to call and double check the room you are booking has a hot tub to not be mislead.
