Lovely stay and facilities. Wonderful lawn area up to the waters edge.
Winter sheets were too hot for summer considering mozzies! Braai area smoked out the home even with the extractor on.

Beautiful house and front lawn was great and the jetty.
The braai had a terrible blow back of smoke and we tried everything to get rid of the smoke that was coming into the house. Extractor was not working at all.

The house is right on the river, and has a wonderful large lawn in front of the house for kids to play or lay tanning and relaxing. The outdoor fireplace is nice and big and the portable pizza oven worked wonderfully. The house is very spacious and has more than enough bathrooms and toilets for all the guests.
The I door fireplace is not usable. The fist night it completely smoked out the house and made sleeping g on the first floor almost impossible. My kids woke with bad caught the next day. The fans in the room upstairs are substandard and one did not work. The general cleanliness was poor. There was dust and odd plant debris in some clothing cubards, the kitchen did not feel clean, especially the cutlery drawers. There cleaning equipment like mops and brroms are completly worn and old. In general the kitchen and rest of the home is filled with a lot of old things and clutter thats just not needed.
The one fridge stopped working while were there, and during load shedding the water pressure is zero and there is not hot water at all as it runs on a gas burner. We were not informed of the smoke or issues related to water supply as a result of load shedding before we came.
The people qere very helpful when we had an issue, but it did not take away from the fact that the place felt generally dirty and we all left stinking of smoke. Even the cloths we never wore.
Beautiful setting and with a few cha ges it could be a magnificent stay.
