African Game Lodge

We had a lovely weekend getaway in a beautiful, peaceful cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the landscapes, and waking up to birdsong. The accommodation was so comfortable, with everything we needed, including a beautiful stoep overlooking the surrounding wilderness area. We enjoyed the cycling trails and a refreshing dip in the communal swimming pool. There is no wifi in the cottage but it is easily accessible a short walk away in the lapa if needed. Otherwise a perfect opportunity to switch off and enjoy this protected area of the Klein Karoo.

Location is excellent, facilities great, would have love to have taken the hiking trail but there was not time.

The Games-Room was not mentioned when we booked in.

Pleasantly surprised. Expected more rustic experience but had everything we needed , Staff incredibly helpful and friendly

We went to watch the rugby at the clubhouse which was very late, and didn't see any notices for restrooms so had to walk back to the chalet to use the toilet in the dark and it was raining. Otherwise had an amazing time thank you

Remote location, quality of food was good

The game drive was disappointing. We saw no animals at close quarters, only a few buck at long distance. I really think the web site should make it clear that there is a very small range of wild life to be seen, even if you are lucky enough to see everything that is there. Very disappointed to only have one choice of evening meal. (Were told that this is because the chef was off) Tent would have benefited from floor covering rather than concrete - at least a rug. Also an easy chair with the sofa would have been welcomed. I see that both were provided in Leopard tent but not Hyena. A shower would be preferable to a bath and would save water. In the absence of a shower, a shower attachment to the tap in the bath would be welcomed.
