The breakfast was really adorable, and changed my overall review of Montagu Manor to be more positive. The owner served us himself and was very attentive and agreeable.
The room we stayed in was cramped, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the bathroom had no privacy or ventilation. the door between the bedroom and bathroom was more of a screen, so my partner and I would take turns waiting outside while the other was busy doing their business in the bathroom. I know this is an old building and the room retained a lot of the old charm, but there are some modernizations that must be made for comfort.
