At this location I had a very pleasant experience, the "old France" room experience. My family and I were pleasantly impressed by the rooms and especially the breakfast. We also thank the host for his kindness and help, he waited for us until late to check in, even though your protocol is check-in until 9 p.m.

Outstanding place to stay if you are in Douai.

This is an outstanding bed and breakfast. A beautiful house is maintained with great taste and elegance by the hosts who welcome you warmly to their residence. The rooms are spacious and convenient to work from, the location central and the breakfast is fabulous. I had diet preferences, and Isabelle catered to them without compromising her high standards for natural and organic ingredients.

Great location with exceptional breakfast

The hotel is in an excellent location for walking into the city centre. The couple running the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional with so much to eat and of such good quality. Too much for us after a big dinner the previous evening.

If travelling by car there could be a problem parking. We were able to park in the street at a cost of 2 Euro which covered us for 2 hours which included until 9.15 the following morning. If there is no space I am not sure where you would park.

If you have to stay in Douai then I thoroughly recommend Les Foulons. In the old part of the town and very close to bars and restaurants. I stayed in the Mariner's Room. Full of character and comfortable. An excellent continental breakfast, I requested decaf coffee and it was available. Options include bread, croissant, 3 wonderful jams, yoghurt, prepared fruit (caramelised apples one day), butter, a small selection of cheese and cold meat and freshly prepared scrambled eggs.

Perfect stay

Isabelle was a warm and welcoming host. The room was spacious, very nicely decorated and super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and she kindly drove me to the train station.

Un superbe accueil humain ! Un petit dejeuner exceptionnel avec des produits maisons, une reelle possivilite d'echange sans rester isole a sa table. Un petit coin jardin accessible. Propre et tres calme. Au plaisir d'y revenir !!!
