A short stay with a bit of luxury

Beautiful house, close to La Piscine. The interior was very impressive and the communal areas were comfortable and welcoming. Our room, overlooking the road, was light and airy and spotlessly clean. Bathroom likewise with a good shower. Although the property does not supply breakfast the facilities to prepare your own were excellent. Instructions for entry and key collection were clear and concise.

An additional light over the mirror in the bathroom would be useful, for applying makeup or shaving.

Almost stranded overnight because owner wouldn’t give me the codes; no reception.

The location is really close to the Musée de la Piscine.

Atrocious staff! I received an email at 8.30 a.m. that I would receive the codes that morning. I emailed at 11.45 a.m. that I had still not received the codes. The owner emailed them - again she says - in response, but since I no longer had WIFI I could not access her email. I arrived at 4.30 p.m. and kept ringing the bell but there was no one inside. A kind couple, other guests, phoned the owner on my behalf and though she knew who I was and that I had paid she kept insisting she would only email the codes, not give me them on the phone despite my explaining I did not have phone access without WIFI. The kind gentleman at last prevailed; she gave him my codes; otherwise we would have spent the night on the street! The place is spacious but soulless.

Our stay felt like a real treat - staying in a grand house with all the modern touches you’d expect

Beautiful house with high ceilings. Great facilities in the rooms, kitchen and lounge. Friendly welcome. Short 10 minute walk to the main square and metro station - and Le Piscine museum only a 5 minute walk away. Able to park the car outside for duration of stay (free street parking).

Nothing I didn’t like about the property, although Roubaix is a bit shabbier than Lille generally. It is a large old house so you do hear other guests entering at night via the main central open plan staircase.

Relax and class next to Lille

Nice bed and breakfast well managed and close to the metro going to the center of Lille, room with all comforts, impressive building structure with charme and class. Breakfast 'do it yourself' with plenty of choice although continental. It is possible to park next to the structure without problems

I was expecting more of a hotel type of structure, probably I did not pay much attention during the booking phase. Nothing wrong but please note that you have to agree your check in time in advance

Beautiful guest house with everything you could need.

It was very beautiful, high ceilings, and very homely. We were given a complimentary upgrade and the room was absolutely perfect. Free parking, full kitchen space if you want to cook - has it all.

Maison Mimerel is a secret treasure 10/10 .

We absolutely enjoyed the stay at Maison Mimerel. The communication with Patricia was top and very warm. The House is situated in the Heart of Roubaix and not far from the Metro Grand Place, Restaurants, the Shopping Mall. The house and rooms are beautiful, clean, modern with an unique architecture. We felt at home and we will be back for sure!

We hadn’t not enough toilet paper but that’s nothing.

Comfortable room and nice property.

Communication was not great. We arrived in Roubaix at 2 pm and attempted to contact the property to arrange to drop off our luggage, as the check-in was 5 pm. There was no reply to messages and no answer via telephone. We turned up at the property earlier than the check-in but no answer at the door. We had a lot of luggage with us as we had been travelling and it was raining, so not the best experience.

Fab place to stay

The shared space and the beautifully equipped shared kitchen. You have your own fridge in the kitchen to store your food and drink and you can use the kitchen to cook. Great concept. One of the nicest places we have stayed.

Nicely renovated house but location was not great

Very nicely renovated house; welcoming host; good quality bed; good breakfast; parking in front of the house

the location - there is a lot of noise and we hardly slept (music in the street during the night; a rooster at dawn ;-) and we could hear the other guests in rooms adjacent to ours). I think there are some safety issues as well. Maybe nothing dramatic but we were not expecting this. Better be prepared and leave nothing in the car for example.

jammer van kapotte verwarming in de winter

Prachtig gebouw. Mooie trappenhal. Goede bedden.

De verwarming was kapot. Koken, eten of nog even ontspannen in de eetkamer of living was door de kou niet mogelijk (13 graden). We verbleven dus louter op onze eigen kamer (die wel verwarming had), wat jammer was. We kregen geen compensatie voor de kapotte verwarming, wel zogezegd een upgrade naar een grotere kamer, maar dat is maar een povere geste.

La maison est extraordinaire et a été rénovée avec beaucoup de goût. Bravo d’avoir redonné vie à ce patrimoine.

Super adresse. Très jolie maison, le concept " comme à la maison" est beaucoup mieux qu'un hôtel : à disposition un salon une cuisine et un jardin. La chambre très agréable, spacieuse, claire et au calme. La déco est canon. L'accueil est excellent.

Super réactif. Magnifique demeure avec une déco exquise. Facilité d'accès. Prix abordable. On y retournera et on en a fait la pub autour de nous.

Une des petites serviettes n'était pas propre/avait du fond de teint dessus. Une des machines à café avait une petite fuite.

Très bel endroit, avec des chambres confortables avec une literie de qualité. Les espaces de vie sont juste magiques. Les informations envoyées pas SMS était claires et précises. Nous avons pu récupérer les chambres plus tôt. La maison est magnifique et très calme.
