Peaceful & Central Self Contained 1 Bedroom House

A peaceful and secluded retreat within easy walking distance of Glastonbury town centre. Comfortable walking distance to celebrate solstice at the Tor The accommodation felt very private, with a lovely garden setting full of birds and wildlife, and was cool, shady and comfortable even during very hot weather. The kitchen was well equipped for self-catering, there was plenty of space to relax both inside and outside, and I particularly appreciated being able to prepare my own meals and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The host was warm, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, even taking the time to check on a concern I had when I arrived. I felt safe, comfortable and completely at ease here, and honestly wished I could have stayed longer.

A small welcome card with Wi-Fi instructions would be helpful, as the router and QR code were not immediately obvious to find. I also noticed that the Wi-Fi and power appeared to switch off before the advertised checkout time of 11am, which was a little surprising.

A lovely little cottage and hidden away under the trees. A perfect place to relax and only a short walk to town.

Beautiful property - and it really is peaceful. Spacious and private, it is close to the town centre. The host is lovely. Parking is simple.

Friendly welcome from host Andrew. Location for sightseeing in and around Glastonbury was good. Also really liked the patio.

We were warned by Andrew that we would need to use a bit of force when closing the back door. We managed to get it closed but then couldn’t get it open again the next day. Therefore we were unable to use the patio to have morning coffee. We messaged the host to ask him to see if he could open it but didn’t hear back from him. However, we did see him later in the day and he managed to get it open. The fact that we couldn’t lock this door was also a concern. Cobwebs and spiders were plentiful.
