Yuletide escape

Andrew came to welcome us, make sure we were comfortable and warm. Peaceful and cosy, home from home. Ideal location for Glastonbury without being in the town centre. Nice outside area with amazing view of the church and sunsets. Kitchen area well equipped with teas, coffee and sugar provided.

More rugs would be good for winter stays. A couple of extra mugs, additional cutlery and a pair of scissors would be good. Bigger cushions on the lovely sofa.

Lovely little place that fitted our needs

Location very handy but also peaceful. All that we needed. Able to use sofa bed as well as double. It’s walkable from High street up a hill and steps to get into. There are also a couple steps inside. This was good for us as we like to be active but may not fit everyone’s needs. Nice little patio area, 5 types of birds & squirrel to watch just having breakfast & easy to park outside. Andrew friendly & helpful. Thankyou

A little gem

We loved it here, the location is perfect. It's tucked away and very peaceful, but still very close to Glastonbury High Street. It's a cosy, comfortable bolt-hole.

Comfy, secluded stay with helpful host

Location is fairly close to the town centre, parking was convenient. Property is secluded, comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. Bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in.

The property smelt a little musty, when we arrived, but wasn't enough to stop us staying there again. Andrew forgot to leave the key so we could access the property but he came over with it very quickly when we messaged him.

Absolutely charming

Such a lovely, quirky. place to stay. Very safe and private. Parking right outside the gate. For 2 people, it was perfect. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. The shower was really good with hot water. It was beginning to get a tad chilly and the heating provided warmed everything up quickly. Easy walk into the town.

The was no hot water in the shower room sink but we coped !

Perfect - Look no further

After a nightmare journey on super busy roads, this property was a delight to arrive at. Tucked away behind large gates, we discovered a peaceful haven cleverly designed within and shaded by exotic plants and trees. The property features a spacious living room / kitchen, cool bedroom, bathroom, and a lovely shady patio. We've stayed in a number of other places in Glastonbury over the years, and this one is the best by some margin. The location is perfect - only a few minutes walk to the High Street, and within easy walking distance of all the places you might wish to visit in Glastonbury. The property had a power cut the morning after our arrival, and the owner had power restored within a couple of minutes after I'd messaged him via the booking.com app. The property also has a very comfortable brand new sofa bed in the living room. This was especially appreciated by my daughter who had booked into a different accommodation in Glastonbury, which turned out to be so dreadful that she rang us at 4am, and we were able to accommodate her with us.

We liked absolutely everything about this place, and we're hoping it will be available for our future visits to Glastonbury.

Idyllic stay

Good location, well organised, friendly host, and exceptionally comfortable. Peaceful outside space. Good off road parking.

Didn’t live up to expectations unfortunately

Friendly welcome from host Andrew. Location for sightseeing in and around Glastonbury was good. Also really liked the patio.

We were warned by Andrew that we would need to use a bit of force when closing the back door. We managed to get it closed but then couldn’t get it open again the next day. Therefore we were unable to use the patio to have morning coffee. We messaged the host to ask him to see if he could open it but didn’t hear back from him. However, we did see him later in the day and he managed to get it open. The fact that we couldn’t lock this door was also a concern. Cobwebs and spiders were plentiful.

A great short stay for a solo traveller and in a peaceful location.

This property is a 5 minute walk into Glastonbury town centre, yet in a quiet area which feels very separate from the town. On drive parking for one car plus on street parking. It's well equipped with Wifi, a patio area, and a compact ensuite bathroom with a toilet and very good shower. No telly which I didn't miss at all! I hope to stay again some time with my dog, as I notice the property is also dog friendly. And I loved the merkaba-like light fittings! Thanks, Andrew.

Very little. The fan was needed to air the bathroom through at times but that wasn't a big deal really. Maybe a pair of ovengloves? And a teapot!? - I'm Northern and old-fashioned!

Nice, secluded property close to town. Everything you could want for the two of us. Liked the outside patio very much. Easy walk to the foot of the Tor.

Beautiful pieceful little hut

Perfect location with a short walk to the town, and still walking distance from the Tor, very pieceful and perfect for a short stay 🙂

We found the bed to be a bit to soft for use with both waking up a bit achy, some of the provided bowls/plates was a bit dirty but wasn't a problem for us and just cleaned and used

The privacy was good. Close to town. Nice size. Decor was nice. Bed was comfy. Generally a nice place to stay.

A full kitchen but not much to cook with. No microwave or freezer either. The garden was a bit of a mess and the drive inaccessible. I understand glasto has rat problems but hearing them chewing away under the kitchen is not nice.

Great accomodation, great owner, great location...great, great, great 👍

The owner, Andrew, was very attentive, greeting us upon arrival and introducing the property and the area. He allowed my son and girlfriend to stay on the sofa bed. As there were no customers on the day of leaving, he even allowed us to hang around beyond the 11am departure time (which is great in and of itself, many being 10am). Quite spacious for a 1 bed flat and lots of basic utensils etc. and made homely with crystals and ornaments etc.

Only cold water in the bathroom sink. Had to either shower twice a day of bring warm water in via the kitchen bowl, to was with

Restorative and peaceful

Beautiful space, love all the wood. It’s like staying in a cabin in the woods but then you come out and you’re super close to the high street! Lots of thoughtful additions. Landscaped patio area too so there’s outdoor space to enjoy the peacefulness.

Tranquil getaway in ideally located central Glastonbury

So relaxing and peaceful!

such a beautiful peaceful place, so cosy and comfortable. Andrew is a very gracious host, helpful but not overwhelming and super quick communication. it’s in an amazing location, slightly apart so it’s quiet and easy to park but it’s quick and safe to walk to the high street, the chalice well and Tor. The kitchen in particular is well equipped and there were lots of complimentary teas and coffee. you can see that Andrew has thought carefully about what may be needed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return again soon. Thanks Andrew!

As others have commented, some landscaping would make the garden absolutely beautiful but this is already in hand and will make the property even more perfect.

Exceptional

What a gorgeous place to retreat & stay. I absolutely loved this most welcoming space with decoration to fall in love with. Has a beautiful feel to it & love it has proper facilities to cook in. Beautiful clean & tidy. Felt very spacious & luxurious inside with its beautiful chosen decor. Perfect location too, with ease to all you need with no need for a car. Would definitely return. Andrew was lovely too & obviously wants his guests to enjoy their stay.

A peaceful weekend retreat just a few minutes from Glastonbury town centre . Perfect!

Location was perfect very near town centre ( a few minutes walk ) but the accommodation extremely tranquil and quiet , just the sound of birdsong . Lovely space and decor, Super comfy bed and bedding . The host generously gave us access to the accommodation as soon as we arrived and we were able to take our time checking out too as I presume no new guests checking in that day . So very grateful to Andrew the host for this flexibility . We would definitely stay again !

Hot water in the kitchen was difficult to get right but we just boiled a kettle for washing up so not a big deal . We didn't bring a tea towel as towels were included and so we never thought to bring one ( maybe one could be added for people like us that don't think about such things? )

A fantastic place to stay close to all the attractions.

As soon as you walk in you feel at peace. This is such a lovely little place to stay. The kitchen has everything you need to make a basic meal. The sitting area is comfortable and really nice place to sit and chill out. There is a little sitting area in the garden and this is a peaceful place to sit and have cuppa first thing. The shower room and toilet is snug. If you are claustrophobic you may need to potty with the door open. The shower is nice and hot and there is good water pressure. The bedroom area is lovely and chill as well. You are super close to the high street. It's walkable if you are fit and healthy. But it is on a bit of slop, so if you have any mobility issues you would need to use the car. Andrew is a wonderful host and on hand to answer any questions. Would definitely stay here again.

There is parking, and it's great that it's behind gates...but you gotta get the angle of the dangle right to get the car in and out. But it's not a massive issue.

The garden was a bit overgrown Poorly lit at the front of the property Bad smell in bathroom - informed owner when we left and I'm confident this will be addressed. No WiFi - owner informed me he was having problems with it prior to our arrival though.
