Glastonbury Wild Glamping

I like the quietness, being in nature so the site was perfect as there were only 2 yurts in the field both facing Glastonbury Tor. I liked the wild flowers too and the planting in and round the pond.

The distance between parking and yurt. Probably not that far but I had quite a bit of baggage and made 3 trips in afternoon heat. It would have been great to have a trolley to put the bags in necessitating only one trip.

Fantastic spot, lovely yurts. Very peaceful. Beautiful pool with resident duck who liked the company. Magical sunsets. Took about an hour to walk into Glastonbury- would be a lovely bike ride too. Great communications from Fin. Really loved this place, especially as the weather was so glorious, and we had hired the accommodations as an adult family so we had the place to ourselves, fantastic. Showers great. Simple, quirky and characterful. A truly memorable birthday, it was perfect, thank you Fin!

A tiny thing, but the light switch in the kitchen controlling lights in loos was a bit odd as you reach the loos first! But take a torch you won’t need to switch them on anyway! Perhaps not ideal for those who don’t find walking easy- the kitchen, loos, and yurts are not close together- although we liked this sense of space and walking through the wildflowers was lovely- it might be more challenging in the wet.

Our yurt, Tilly, was exceptional! We were in her during the worst storm I’ve ever experienced and she stood strong! The bed was incredibly comfortable too. A lot of thought and care went into it. I loved that there were only two yurts on the site and a wild swimming pond. Perfect! The hosts were lovely.

Lovely little touches- fresh flowers , tea lights , log burner , essentials left for us to enjoy. Owner was a delight, so helpful.

Shower 1 was dangerous- red hot then cold. Shower 2 - just cold. Would have liked some books on the history of Glastonbury / Folklore . Fire side could do with a fire tidy so it can be cleared of ash.
