Archer's Way

I loved how close it was to the town. It was nice that there is a parking space with the house, although it is a bit tight and requires good reversing skills, especially if your car is one of the larger models. The kitchen is nicely decorated and the downstairs is open plan and comfortable. The house is quite private considering it is on an estate and the neighbours are friendly and quiet. There is a nice seating area in the back garden, and the garden is a good size. The people in charge of the house were easy to contact and helpful. It would be nice to have fans available and lighter quilts put on the beds for when it is very hot weather like we’ve been having. 38C days and a thick quilt on the bed is not a nice combination!

There is some beautiful wood in the house but the carpentry is shoddy, especially the lounge windowsill and the entrance way into the lounge. Also, there is paint all over the upstairs exposed floorboards which could easily have been fixed by carpet (or turps) but makes the place feel unfinished, or at least like it’s been done up quickly and cheaply. Additionally, the stairs are very steep and the bath is very high to get out of so not good for someone with mobility problems. The folding bathroom door kept jamming too so sometimes we had to use the toilet with the door open. There is no wardrobe in the main bedroom, just some drawers, but there are wardrobes in the other two rooms. If you have decent mobility and don’t care much about bathroom privacy or house aesthetics, then this is a great property for easy access to the town.

The location is great. And the large garden is really lovely.

It is unhelpful to have beds with a bedboard if you are tall. The bathroom door needs some oil i think!

An ideal location for access to Glastonbury and the surrounding Mendips area. Very comfortable property with 3 good size double bedrooms, full kitchen and dining area, with a good size fully fenced garden.

The general property was clean, but the kitchen and some of the pans etc could do with a good deep clean. Quite a few items needed a good wash before being usable.
