Good location, close to everything.

Very dirty, house cleaning not done to standard Dirty mugs on arrival Dirty socks left near the bed Put out suitcase on top of the wardrobe to move the out the way and found it to be very dusty onto of a packet of condoms and an advent calendar. (Our stay was February) no been cleaned over two months. None of the lamp in the bedroom worked The shower head would not stay up, had to be held and would go very warm and super cold. Very large noticeable stains on the sofa. I am not one to write bad reviews but been trying to get hold of management but for 10 day not I am behind ignored

Good value for money plenty of facilities and a pot noodle

A lot of property for the money felt like a small house not a holiday apartment had the homely vibe

Smell of damp when walk in soon acclimatised but first impression of the building is that hitting you. I’m very laid back stayed in houses etc so didn’t bother me as much as could others but if something to improve on I would suggest that. And a thicker comfier mattress:) please take these as constructive criticisms as overall the stay was more than what I needed at a good price a

Adequate

Lovely apartment to ourselves, friendly staff very helpful on booking and arrival. Welcome tray with coffee and tea etc. quiet area, did not have any issues with noise or other guests staying.

Sofa was really uncomfortable unfortunately, could do with a new one. Flooring could do with being re done as some rips in the front room. Sky box did not work with the tv, so should either be fixed or removed. Toilet very close to end of bath & not enough toilet roll for 4 days!

We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed being in the high street for shopping in quaint little shops and a very nice wine bar

The location is great and parking was easy, the bedroom was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

It needed a good clean as was fairly dusty.

Not too bad

The location was key close to train station, Barry island just down the road shops parking outside with permit. Dog friendly place self check in was a great idea never done before but very easy

Smaller than expected not really room for 3. Fews definitely need updating like lino in kitchen/lounge ripped walls could do with a paint as its not as fresh as the pictures

Overall we enjoyed our weekend, the dog loved it, and we would come back to Barry

No keys, it was a coded entry system. Good selection of takeaways etc on the street. The apartment was well furnished, the décor could do with a touch up but when you have people in and out all the time its easy for wear and tear. The bed was made up nicely. The supply of towels and toiletries is always a bonus, as is tea/coffee. Lovely powerful spacious shower. Good supply of utensils, plates etc. Great chinese takeaway up the road (Pandas). 15 minute walk to the beach. Lots of dog friendly cafes etc. Cleanliness of the beach, easy access, good parking.

the overall feel of the street wasn't one of cleanliness and safety. Several street lights were not working (not your fault but something that made me feel uneasy when walking at night on my own), the road it self gives the impression that its a bit run down, and not well maintained, with rubbish around and shopfronts with roller doors etc. although some of the shops have made a great job of enhancing their property. The bed was very very soft, id go as far as to say that maybe the mattress needs looking at as it seemed to collapse on the edges. Lack of additional toilet paper. A noise throughout the night that sounded like a plastic vent or shutter that kept banging, i think it maybe to do with the extractor fan in the bathroom.

Non refundable hidden charge

Location is pretty good on the high street

Before you can check in the accommodation charges a fee for any damages that may be incurred to the property. It's disappointing that this fee is hidden, why not include what is effectively a maintenance fee for the property in the price of the booking? We found this quite stressful to find out at the last minute while trying to check in You also have to use another third party app to check in as the code they provide for the door on booking.com is incorrect.

Convenient location, well equipped property.

Convenient location - 20mins walk to the beach. Well equipped - bedding, towels, kitchen supplies & washing machine.

Poor cleaning standards - cobwebs floating around, hair behind beds. Low water pressure for bath & shower. Not well maintained with several damaged patches on the walls/flooring.

Clean, secure property in a good location and for a reasonable price but nothing special and would look at other options

It was in a good central location walkable to a few shops, restaurants and into town and a short drive from the beach. It was clean with some good facilities such as smart TV in the living room, washing machine etc

There was quite a bit of damage throughout which made it look a bit rough despite being clean such as ripped Lino in the living room damage to walls etc. The TV in the bedroom was not smart so only had access to terrestrial TV channels in there. Also it says free parking but this is on the road outside and not guaranteed if already taken by other people. If a property is advertising free parking I would expect there to be an allocated space.

It was perfect for what I came for. A quiet space with all the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay. I did enjoy the stay

There were a few stains on the carpets and sofa. A cover on the sofa would have been nice. There was no surface spray/wipes in the cupboards to disinfect. I had to go and buy some.

The cleanliness a lot of dirt on walls and under radiators. Needs a lick of paint all marks and scuffs on the wall. No cleaning spray provided if you want to wipe the kitchen down. Also Lino was ripped in several places.

Kind, friendly hosts that were really attentive and great location and facilities.

I spent 3 days in Barry with my partner. Our first time and the location was perfect. We were able to travel by foot to get around in Barry including going to Barry Island beach and the Barry Waterfront. There's also lots of food takeaways nearby, an Asda and a cool pop up market within 10 minutes walk. It was really well located yet still quiet and peaceful. Facilities were also really well stocked and we had everything we needed including netflix on the TV. The hosts responded to me very quickly, even out of hours when I needed assistance with parking and sorted my issue in record time. Super happy and would definitely book again next time we visit Barry.

Adequate for a short stay visit.

Email received 15minutes before check in time with door code. Monday to Friday there is someone on site for any queries and to get parking permit. Plenty of HOT water and a great shower. 10 minute walk to Asda superstore with cafe. Towels and cleaning products supplied which was a bonus.

The rooms were a great dealer smaller than I was expecting from the photos; there was no outside seating as stated but we used our own chairs in the back as we are smokers. It was 30 minute walk to the sea front as I didn't want to drive because of not knowing the roads/one way systems in the area. Shops in the High street where property is are very limited.

It was suitable for 3 adults even 4adults as the sofa chair is enough for 2 people and there is a double beds upstairs which was good too. The facility was neat and there was pot, plates and other kitchen accessories that would be needed for the short stay. Also, there is morrisons not too far away from the building. There’s also towels and cover cloth for use. The building is very neat and comfortable.

There’s stairs that leads to the bedroom upstairs from the seating room. In my opinion, this is very unsafe for kids that are able to climb over things. It is very dangerous for kids to stay upstairs but if they will remain in the seating room and sleep there then it’s fine. The room we stayed (room3) wifi password was wrong but I figured it out because the router was behind the TV and it had the password on it. There is a compulsory £19.99 when you would need to pay when you try to check in online which I do not like at all. Also, the tap in the toilet sink was leaking from the pipe underneath but this can be unnoticed as the leakage is not obvious at all.

Decent value for money

The property was nicely furnished and was in a great location. The free parking was a plus and the staff are just based on the ground floor, and were helpful with getting extra milk and coffee

It was very hot when we stayed, which is not a fault of the hosts, but the flat was very difficult to air out and cool down. Even during a cold night it was very hot. We were supplied with a floor fan but there wasnt any space in the bedroom to put it, making one of us not able to cool down. The shower was not powerful at all and was going hot n cold before we figured out how to use it The shared corridor between apartments smelled of cigarettes - I guess guests leaved the entrance door slightly open. There was also plenty of cigarette butts in front of entrance - could have installed a proper ashtray.

Cosy and a nice little place to stay while you’re in Barry

Comfy and welcoming! Had plenty of tea and biscuits on offer as well, if you’re a Gavin and Stacey fan it’s 10 minutes away from Gwen’s house and 20 minute walk from Barry Island

One of the lamps didn’t work in the bedroom but that was the only thing

Only a 3 night stay, so overall ok..

Conveniently placed and , at the end of the day, good value for money..

Didn't like having to pass smelly dustbins in the rear of the property to get to the flat. Shower basin is smooth and when soap hits it, it is very slippery.. no grab rail or shower mat. Dangerous. A lick of paint and some maintenance on woodwork would go a long way on improving the eye appeal.

It was close to bakery, shops and high street and a easy walk to the beach. The apartment was clean enough

We tried to contact via email and the mobile number left but nothing would deliver We wanted to be sure they knew the lino was up in the kitchen and the rug in the bedroom was damaged ! As it wasn't fair that you had to chose to pay either a sky high deposit (that you might not get full reimbursed) or £20 deposit that you do not get back! This was only made aware when you went to check in which is not fair. The apartment is decent but it is already charged at a high rate

Exactly what I needed, a place to retreat to after work with a nice bed.

Really liked the location, was really conveniently located. Really liked the cosy nature of the place too, it had everything I needed, but still had a feeling of comfort.

Only issue I had was with the bins, wasn’t sure exactly what to do with the sorting of a few items. But that was all.

Very good and would book again if back in the area

The property was what I was looking for, easy to access, parking and enough to use whilst I was vising the area for work. Prefer renting a property than a hotel, as you have a sitting room, kitchen, fridge etc, where as in a hotel room it is generally just a bed and TV. Good price and lots of information from the hosts, easy to get in and very quiet

The step into the room was tricky, particularly as a shorter person trying to operate the number pad perched on the top step. There were coffee pods but no coffee machine so I couldn’t make a coffee.

NEEDS A DEEP CLEAN

Location, free on street parking and keyless entry.

The entire apartment was so DIRTY. There was no mattress protector, the pillow protectors were FILTHY! The floor was dirty ESPECIALLY UNDER THE SOFA! We wore shoes the entire time. The shower kept blocking and it turns out it was full of debris! I cleaned the toaster on the first night I arrived and wiped all the surfaces with clinell wipes! The blinds were DUSTY! COBWEBS EVERYWHERE! HOUSEKEEPING SHOULD BE SACKED. The shower had mildew. This place could be so much better with proper CLEANING! I was so shocked as the build up of dust and dirt I made a few videos! Very very disappointing. I'm NOT ON HOLIDAY TO DEEP CLEAN A PLACE I PAID £75 A NIGHT FOR. On reflection I should have stayed in a hotel.

The fact the toilet was downstairs but I see there was nowhere else it could go. If you have an issue with stairs this isn't for you but if you don't mind going up and down for the toilet then go for it

An enjoyable stay overall, in Barry

The location was great, with a variety of lovely shops, convenience store, pub and restaurants really close by...The beach was only a 25 minute walk too. The bed was comfortable with and the apartment was well equiped. The entrance code locks for the front door and flat door was a great idea...We enjoyed not having to worry about a key.

The apartment wasn't the one in the picture...furniture was different and the apartment seemed smaller...for example: The sofa in the picture was a corner shaped sofa bed, but the one in our apartment wasn't there were some dirty marks on the bathroom wall. The shower kept going intermittently freezing cold and boiling hot, on the last morning of our stay. There was a fold away dining table and no chairs. There wasn't much room around the bed, or storage, so we kept our luggage in the kitchen/living room.

Very cosy little flat. Great facilities. Hosts were very accommodating and when the shower went wrong they were there to help within 5 mins. Very helpful. It's was well stocked with things in the kitchen so you easily make meals. It had a fridge freezer so that was very helpful too. It was clean and tidy. It also had a big tv with Netflix etc.

The sofa bed downstairs was very basic and not very comfortable. Maybe a mattress topper would be a great idea stored behind the sofa when not needed This would make such a difference to the comfort of that sofabed

I was disappointed.

Was very well situated and quiet, bed was comfy and smart Tv worked fine.

Vast damage to the walls and floor as well as a smell when we first walked in, unclean microwave in general dusty area considering I was made to pay an ‘upkeep’ fee when there was no upkeep to begin with, I also had to pay a hidden pet fee which I believe is unnecessary considering I had already paid for the booking.
