Welcome to Uncle Bryn’s House on Trinity Street, Barry. This is a genuine piece of British television history and a unique place to stay in South Wales.
The house has two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room, sleeping up to six guests. It makes a great base for couples, families, and friends looking for somewhere memorable to stay close to the coast.
The property has been styled with familiar touches inspired by the show and the characters giving guests and fans a chance to experience a setting they will recognise from the series while still offering the comforts you would expect from a holiday home.
There are plenty of little details to discover during your stay. The famous multi-gym is available as a photo opportunity only, allowing fans to recreate Bryn and Smithy’s memorable workout without using the equipment. There’s also Trevor’s (god rest his soul) Subbuteo table and an omelette maker, adding a few more nostalgic touches for fans of the show; are you brave enough to recreate Gwen’s turkey omelette?

You can make your own Gavin & Stacey pilgrimage, take photographs at the famous locations and then return to your own holiday home at the end of the day.
It’s nostalgia, Welsh seaside charm and a little bit of television history all rolled into one.

You will have exclusive access to the entire house throughout your stay, ensuring complete privacy and comfort for you and your family.
Guests are welcome to enjoy all indoor living spaces, including the fully equipped kitchen, the cozy living room with an indoor fireplace, and the dedicated home gym area. Outdoors, you have access to a patio, perfect for relaxing.

Cardiff city centre is approximately 20–25 minutes by car, and can also be reached by train from Barry.
The South Wales Coast
The surrounding coastline is ideal for walks, beaches and exploring the beautiful scenery of the Vale of Glamorgan.
Spend a morning at Barry Island, enjoy a coastal walk in the afternoon and return to the house for a relaxed evening.
Barry Island
For a classic Welsh seaside experience, Barry Island is the obvious choice. Enjoy the beach, amusement park, cafés and restaurants, or simply take a stroll along the promenade.
Getting Around:
The property is well positioned for exploring Barry, Barry Island, Cardiff and South Wales.
Walking: Barry town centre, local cafés, pubs and several Gavin & Stacey filming locations are accessible on foot.
Train: Barry railway station is 13-minute walk, with regular trains to Cardiff and Bridgend
Car: Cardiff city centre is approximately 20–25 minutes away by car.
Cardiff Airport: Approximately 10 minutes away by car or 6 minutes by train
Bus: B3 Bus stop to Barry docks 2 minute walk, 96 bus stop to Cardiff 3 minute walk
A car is useful for exploring more of the Vale of Glamorgan and South Wales, although many of Barry's attractions can be reached without one.
