Welcome to the Palm House Boutique, a gorgeously modern 3 bed townhouse,with idillic sea views and only a couple of minutes walk to the quiet sandy cove of Jackson’s Bay and the Wales Costal Path.The house consists of 3 uniquely styled bedrooms, a spacious living area, kitchen and dining area, a bathroom and utility room and a relaxing enclosed garden area. Private onsite car parking for 2cars. If you enjoy playing with your dogs on the beach or simply walking, the Wales Costal Path leading from Jackson’s Bay to Porthkerry taking in Nell’s Point, The Old Harbour and The knapp is on the door step.
Palm House is an excellent location for families or couples looking to enjoy a quiet restful staycation walking, paddle boarding, having a bbq on the beach or just sampling the many good eateries in the area.
Palm house is only a 10 minute walk to Barry Train Station which has a direct train service to Cardiff Central, meaning the house is located 30 minutes away from the Principality (Millennium) Stadium. By car it is only a 20 minute journey to Cardiff or M4 allowing you easy access to Brecon, Cowbridge, Porthcawl and the Gower coast.
It is a 15 minute drive to Cardiff Wales Airport. Palm House is a convenient location for guests flying or driving to Cardiff for rugby internationals, football or concerts.

Fab house for a getaway. Two adults and two teens stayed for five days and we had a great time. House was well kitted out and we had some great walks to Jackson Bay and futher round the headland. Liz was very responsive when we had the most minor issue. Really recommend.

Sadly the weather wasn’t great which put a dampener on my stay. The house, however, was lovely. Very spacious and clean. Lots of room for 4 adults and 2 children. A home from home with huge kitchen and dining area. Washing machine and dryer to use which would be great for families. Short walk to Jackson’s bay beech which would have been brilliant for my dog had the weather been better. The main Barry beach and shops and fair etc about 15mins walk away.

Unfortunately the link for directions took us somewhere else however amazing communication and we arrived well. Fab parking Breath taking on arrival Very modern Amazing artwork A lovely welcome gift of Welsh cakes and prosecco. We took the dog and he enjoyed the garden which was secure as did our toddler. Brilliant bedrooms. Some.cleaning issues such as hair in the shower and a blocked bath plughole but easily cleaned.otherwise spotless. Very close to Jackson bay for outdoor swimming and a dog walk Would definitely stay here again!

Liz our host was great. Gave really clear instructions, and left a little treat of drink and welch cakes on our arrival. The house is beautiful and very well kept. Great facilities. Fantastic location near town and 2 minutes walk to the lovely bay with fabulous secluded, sandy beach. A brilliant place to stay as a base to explore south Wales. Highly recommend the palm house.

Very clean and well maintained property. We reached Barry an hour earlier, contacted host who allowed us entry and were greeted with Proseco and Welsh cakes - very thoughtful and welcoming. We and our 2 little dogs loved the house and secure garden. Thank you for your hospitality it made our stay exceptional.

Great location for Barry Island and Cardiff. Short walk to dog friendly beach. Surrounding area is lovely for walking. We were holidaying with our daughters and combining Harry Styles concert at Cardiff with a short seaside break and Palm House was a great choice. Short walk to train station with great service to Cardiff Central.Very impressed with Barry Island, lovely clean beach and super friendly place. Palm House was clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen...although we ate out every night. Wifi worked fine. Welcome prosecco and welsh cakes appreciated. Many thanks for a great stay.

A really lovely, light and spacious kitchen diner,which made it a very sociable space and a small but very private little garden with big plants/tree so nice bit of greenery. Very accessible paths nearby for disabled, and so close to the sea. I even saw dolphins in the bay!

We booked Palm House for 6 nights as we were visiting family in Cardiff. The property is a short walk from the beach and attractions; our children loved all the arcades and rides by the front. Communication from Liz during the whole process was excellent; she was very quick to respond to any queries. We really appreciated the Prosecco and chocolate eggs, as well as other Easter themed decorations as we were staying over this period in time. The garden looked like a lovely little sun trap but unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get to enjoy it this time. We had a fab break away and would book again if we were visiting this area. This house was perfect, so clean and decorated beautifully. Location was brilliant, close enough to walk down to the busy part of Barry, but far enough away from any noise. It’s literally 5 mins walk a one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been too, Jackson Bay. This beach has toilets, but nothing else so picnic & supplies needed. Highly recommend this property, easy booking process & always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you for letting us stay!

We enjoyed the location close to the beach and the size suited our party of 4 well. We also appreciated the cleanliness, nice coffee machine and treats left out for us! However, there are some odd aspects to the house that could be easily improved - no hooks to hang coats on, lots of glass tables and ornaments which could be dangerous for children, no lid on the toilet seat, windows in need of replacing upstairs, and a strange layout in the living room making it hard to watch TV.
